So, I'm starting a Gondor army and was wondering if the Minas Tirith Battlehost is a good way to start a force and if it is a good idea to pick it up.

It contains:

-12 Rangers
-36 Warriors of Minas Tirith
-6 Knights of Minas Tirith
-6 Guards of the Fountain Court
-1 Captain
-1 Standard Bearer.

Response is appreciated.

its always a good start with enough flexability to be your only perchase but for me it would require more rangers or specielised toops.

It's a good box buy, grants you some different units and can easily make 500 pts. with that. Hell 750 would be easy if you purchase Boromir of the White Tower, his brother Faramir as well isn't too shabby.

I say it's a good deal, that and the Dwarf one seem the best.

It's a very solid base for a Gondor force. Consider a mounted Captain for the Knights for the all-important Heroic Move, and probably a couple more Heroes, maybe Faramir and/or Boromir, or even King Elessar.

I'll ditto the above and maybe add Gandalf as well.

The good thing with this army is the number of allies it can take. So you can add Fiefdoms and Rohan forces easily enough.
