Um, I know Librarium Online takes money to run and all, but I have to say I highly disaprove of the porno webcam banner ads that have suddenly shown up. I mean there are 11 year olds running around on these forums, so um Blackhat you should take those down straight away because the last thing you need is a parent looking in on there kids and seeing that stuff on a wargaming forum...

I have to agree with that, it is kinda of weird on a fourm with Pg-13 rulings.

Agreed, I've always thought those were kind of odd and out of place.

The management team is aware of these and honestly, we agree, but it needs Blackhat to deal with it, we are awaiting his intervention

The only ones I've seen are in the top right corner next to the name/logo

I'm seeing one right now... top right banner ad. same thing happens on CMON.

These ads were gone for a while, but they came back. I don't really know how advertising works at all but how did these start appearing?

Yeah its always the top right hand corner, though its good to see that its not just on my computer.

If these are the same kind of ads we used on one of the forums I used to admin for, they calculate which ads get clicked most, and make those ones more common, out of the many they show. If people stopped clicking on the porn ads, they would simply go away. However, I doubt it will be as simple as telling people to stop.

The ads also sometimes appear on the display shown when you view the forums without logging in. There are those three ad boxes, and often at least one of them is for porn.

Today while I was on my desktop, browsing the forum (can't seem to log on on the computer) I saw two ads for, you're not going to belive this but, Mormonism. Mormonism?! Religeon is a banned topic on LO so... anyway, one was in a chatroom format, a prerecorded conversation back and forth about mormonism. the other was just flat out, "church of jesus chist and latter day saints" plastered on it.

Yeah, there's no way these kinds of ads are appearing because the most people had clicked on them... just saw a new adult webcam site ad on the very upper right corner. I don't know, is there any way to get some kind of ads banner that doesn't contain porn? Or is it totally out of the admin's control?

We'll look into it again. Thought it had been addressed but apparently not.
