Hey guys,
It is great to be back. While I was away I was thinking about what to do for my new army. I am making a pre-heresy Deathgaurd army and I was wondering how to paint the wight. I looked at minus_T's guide and I think that I will do that. However, I was also thinking of buying the devlon mud and using that with it. Do you guys have any ideas on what I should do?
Thanks a lot
-SG

Try priming a test mini white, give a liberal coat or two of badab black wash and rehighlight the white, fast and super easy.

Before the introduction of the new Citadel washes I would have suggested Tamiya Smoke. I still might as it isn't as dark as the new washes. It was perfect for shading metallics.

Are you sure pre hersey Death Guard had white armour?
I know the cover of the novel has two marines in white and green
power armour, but the book states quite a few times that the Death Guard
armour was a unfinshed iron colour. I may be wrong i will check.

Edit - Death Guard's armour was off-white with dark green trim. Trim was dark red prior to the discovery of their Primarch, when they were called the Dusk Raiders.
