Huhu peeps,

For quite a while I have been thinking about starting a PH army but I was too busy with my Emperor's children.
However, as I got more and more tired of the pink/purple EC paintingscheme (it does get a bit boring after a while :P) I figured I'd slowly start a PH army.
I wanted to go with either the World Bearers or the Luna Wolves, and finally descided to go Luna! So a couple of Ebay auctions later I started working on one of the Grand Companies of the Luna Wolves!

One of the first units that's almost done is this 10-man Tactical Squad, it just needs a bit of cleaning up and some more highlights here and there, but I'm sure you get the picture ;)

The studs are actually rivets I bought in a store for miniature trains :) They come in all sorts and sizes and are a B*TCH to superglue onto the shoulderplate (hence me doing only 1 side :P)

In the first picture you can see that the head and torsos are a different material :)
It's the Red Scorpion kit from ForgeWorld :D The red Scorpions still all wear MKIV armour, as did the Luna Wolves before the Heresy.
If you order the kit you get 10 bodies, 20 shoulderplates, 10 heads, a veteran body, veteran pistol, veteran powersword and a veteran head.

Unfortunately I got caught up in my excitement and actually used the veteran pieces... but the Luna Wolves didn't use the Imperial Eagle at that time, so my apologies to all the fluffjunkies :P Won't do it again :P

Meh, actually I got a dodgy can of Skull White Spraypaint!
After cleaning and assembling the models I used a standard can of GW Skull White undercoat, but when I was done undercoating my models I found out that the can most likely wasn't doing so well. The layers of white were a bit grainy and there was a residue of white powder around the nozzle and on pretty much the entire top of the can.

Managed to clean up most of it but couldn't get rid of it all :(

WOW! They look awsome, well done, they remind me so much of my own luna wolves, you have the colour spot on. And i think your bases might be better than mine too.... What else have u got planned for the army? I have 2 tac squads with rhinos, Assault squad, abbadon, old skool pred, 2 old skool land speeders, some termes and a FW dread. All fully converted and painted as i made my army before FW's red scorpion pack became availiable. Keep posting your progress, well done again!

I indeed stumbled upon your blog a couple of days ago too, very nice work in there mate! :D Especially considering you started before the FW kit was released!! That must have been one one hell of a scavager hunt to get all those frickin' bits and pieces! Kudos for that! (remind me to Rep you after I type this :P)

Atm I got a couple of things planned for this army, I just need a couple of bits to arrive before I can continue with it though.
Got 4 Terminators assembled, got half of a truescale Horus to lead them, an Abbadon in case Horus feels sick, 10 Assault Marines (with the old RT Jetpacks ofc!! :P), another Tactical Squad, 2 more Landspeeders, 5 JETBIKES! WOOT! JETBIKES!! :dance:, got some Classic Heavy weaps too :soldier:

I dunno if I'll use ANY vehicles at all (Maybe a dread) considering that I just finished a 1500 pnts Slaanesh Mech army, I've had my fair share of Rhinos and Preds for this year :P Hopefully the new GW Droppods will be affordable enough to make my army droppod-ish :D

I cheated on the bases btw! They are resin SHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

They are amazing! That White is really well done and I compliment you on your painting skills.
