Just saw this on GW, under their objectives marker article, think its new.

Might be a covnerted Multi Melta though, looks like the old style flamers too, which is cool, also the AoBR Dread is there in Sallie colours, looks like GW is supporting the "other" chapters again.

Thats a multimelta, though I agree the nozzles do look like old school flamers.
The wires and the thing on the side say Multi-melta though..

I agree. I think it's the graded shading on the near edges of the melta nozzles that give a but of false perspective when viewed from the front.

Those aren't Multi-melta nozzles. Look on that Dreadnought's right arm (on the left side in the picture) - this is a Multi-Melta.
The Marine's HW has nozzles from an old version of a flamethrower.
I might be a n00b, but I've seen enough pre-3rd edition models to recognize a few things.

Ah well we can rest assured that GW wouldn't just photo some archived models into their publications. Like the illegal voystran command squad in WD about 5 months ago, or:

Prizewinner here: the Catchans with demo charges photo on their sales website showed a catchan with a shotgun (converted). I bought the fricking things to go in Shaeffers Last chancers (With shotgun specifically in mind) and... dissappointment.

The backpack, main body and wiring look alot like a multimelta to me. the nozzles look different mind, but they also do on the flamer in that squad - maybe the owner likes converting them (I drill my bolts, and insert a acrylic shard in plasma weaponry nowdays - someone doing round tipped nozzles for melta's isn't too far out - it looks a bit like a carborettor injection nozzle from a engine (that sprays fuel)

It is a multi-melta with flamer nozzles, without doubt.

I reckon a SM with a heavy flamer would look more like this:

I'm with DMC on this one. It still looks really nice though.

That Dreadnought I think may be a new plastic Dreadnought that comes with some boxed set or book the 'Assault on black beach', or I think that's what it's called. Here is a link to an image of the suspected Dreadnought on it's sprue. It is a multi melta that it is carrying. You can tell it looks like the same Dreadnought by looking at the sarcophagus, it is the same as the one on the plastic sprue.

Here is also a link to a page with the Dreadnought and other models.

You're forgetting the curent plastic Dreadnought also has a sarcophagus like this one. The arm in the picture is clearly the Assault Cannon arm and not the MM arm from the Black Reach set (look at the tanks on the side - they're different). Likewise, the Multi-Melta design is quite a bit different.

Actually, ISN'T. This Salamanders Dreadnought was one of the examples for customizing the then-new plastic Dreadnought kit in White Dwarf 256. You can check if you don't believe me.
Assault Cannon arm. Multi-Melta from a plastic Land Speeder. Tyranid claw on the base. Salamanders logo on the left side of the hull.

I have to agree with 5th. The 'Heavy flamer' is a MM conversion (which would have looked better with SoB heavy flamer nozzles IMHO) and the Dread is an assault cannon conversion. The right arm still has an Assault Cannon ammo canister, unlike the AoBR dread that can be seen to have Melta canisters on the side. The sarcophagus may also be the same but again the AoBR dread has detail on it's right torso that the sallie one does not.
