'lo all,
EDIT: Please see the better photo in the reply below. Thanks!
Here is the current state of the veteran Kroot warrior I've been working on. I apologize for the darkness of the picture; I didn't realize that I had the exposure set a bit too low until I loaded the photos onto my computer. I'll take some brighter pictures in the morning and then put them up in the afternoon. Anyway, as for the mini, I need to finish the rifle, the pistol, the quills, and the base. For the base, I'm having half of it grassy (flock & static) and the other half muddy (gloss coat). Of course I'll be adding mud to the Kroot's feet since he was just walking through some :)
I'm looking for suggestions on a couple of things. First, the armor -- I tried to simulate oxidized bronze on the armor plates, the bells, and the chimes. How do you think they look? I'm concerned that they might either blend into the skin tone or otherwise appear completely unremarkable.
I'm also not decided on how to do the rifle and pistol. So far I have the wooden stock for the rifle, but I'm not sure if I want to do the rest of it as I did my other Kroot (simple flat greys), or if I want to continue with the tarnished look (now that I know that bronze, and by extension gunmetal, generally oxidizes only superficially).
Your time and consideration is appreciated!
Regards,
sky
