You know how some beetles have a kind of oily/rainbow effect on their shells? Does anyone know where I can get hold of some paint that does the same kind of effect? Ive found some pearly paints but I really want a dark oily colour for a tyranids carapace.

i may be able to help you their try CML DISTRIBUTION - Distributors of Quality Radio Control Model & RC Hobby Products (http://www.cmldistribution.co.uk) .check out their spray paints Cameleon jade,Cameleon saphire they give a flip like on custom cars.
They are made for painting R.C car body shells but may work.On a clear bodyshell you spray this on then back it with a blak or other dark colour pray, but this is supposed to work the other way around too.
