Hi guys and gals, I have a thread in the projects forum but wanted to add this here to expose to more people.

My friend converted an old and broken Be'lakor model for me and it has turned out realy well. The pics do not do it justice and it is BIG!.

Just wondering if anyone has any colour/painting suggestions for this as it really needs a nice paint job. It is obviously a Slaanesh prince but I dont want to go too "guady" and bright as some are.

Possible colours so far:

1) Very dark up to purple/dark pink... I like the dark colour this should create. Whip could be a contrasting colour (bright turquoise maybe?)

2) Using scaly/hawk and blending up.... THink this may be a better colour as a 2nd colour however

3) Painting be'lakor the colour he should be and just doing the lash arm in a colour .

Any help greatly appreciated:

I have to say, your friend has a way with conversions! Give him/her kudos from me!

I like the first idea for a paintscheme best. Maybe paint his body in a light/dusty shade of dark purple, with the skin of his wings a lighter pinkish color. I'm not sure the lash should be painted a different color...but if you feel it should be, I would go with the second idea for that. You could do something inventive with the horns, but I always think a standard bleached bone color is the best for things like that.

The armor should be a bright, polished-looking silver; you know, the whole flawless thing the Slaaneshi have going for them. I think a very gaudy scheme for the staff would work well; standard bright pink, and maybe some gold. Turquoise would also work very well for the tabard/loincloth.
If you could find a good scheme for the sword blade, like a subtly glowing black, I think it would look really cool. Here's a link to an example of what I'm talking about:

Good luck to you! Can't wait to see how this turns out!

Well, he definitely needs some MAJOR help. I mean he's silver and black and gray and green. Completely lacking a theme. Oh wait, he's not... forget what I said. He looks sorta Tzeentch-ish to me, so I would paint 'im blue/purple, then blend orange on the claws/tentacles, etc.
