Hey all,
I think I'm gonna stick with the typical red for my bloodletters, but am considering using green for the swords. It'll be a sort of dark near the handle, flaming at the end devilish green (going from chaos black to scorpion green). Thing is I've already painted a bloodcrusher like that and while each element looks real nice (I'll post pics as soon as I get a chance), I'm not certian if the entire model works colors-wise.
So my question to you - of the khorne daemons you've seen, do they look better when the swords are red as their bearers, black, or something equally subtle, or maybe if they stand out a lot like I plan mine to do? Thanks!

I cannot really answer your questions, but I feel questions like "do they look better" is very subjective. I think you should just look at your guy and ask yourself if you like him. If you do, go ahead and finish the rest that way :)
I'll wait for the pics, but the way I see it in my head it would look cool.

That is a good reply. Everyone has their own personal tastes, so while some might not like the green swords or prefer black or pink or yellow, in the end it is down to you. They are your miniatures, if you like the green blades then paint them like that. Of course everyone can offer advice and opinion, and you can listen to it or not.

Personally, I think that could work well. It would be a change from the pure red or red and black they are always done. A bit of colour could enhance their looks. =)

While i cannot answer a subjective question for you, i can give you a bit to consider. The red and green have potential to be quite glaring if you go from solid black to such a vibrant green, and depending on the shade of red that you have painted them, could be too harsh of a contrast for many peoples eyes. Now, if either color is more or a muted or darker tone, then it could work out beautifully.

It all depends on your preferences, and whatever you would like them to look like.
