I posted this in my WiP thread, but considering that thread is for my other army, and these are no longer WiP, I figured I would post em here now.

This army was a successful attempt at speed painting for me. From start of construction to finished painted model, it took a little longer than 1 month. for what it is, I am happy with the results. decently painted figs are far better than primed ones, and I am tired of spending years on painting 1 army..

This is a solid 1500 pt list. The tyrant, Fexes and shooty warriors all have magnetic arms, as you will see at the end, with a pic of the dakkafex converted into a CC fex.

Paint scheme is very simple. Primed white, chitin painted snot green, then I mixed up some future floor wax, water, and blue ink, and washed all the models (could have dipped too). Then added yellow eyes, bleached bone talons, washed with gryphonne sepia, and the pink fleshy bits, are dwarf flesh, tentacle pink, and a red wash. That's about it, simple and effective, and the fact that I did all 1500 pts in half a month of painting means any regrets of sloppyness are squashed.

May end up adding a few more gaunts, a fex, and/or some raveners, but for now, I think it will be good.

Now onto the pictures.

Those models are well speed painted. I think I like the Lictor alot. It's pose is good and it looks life-like. Though it does seem to have gunk splattered on it's underside or something. The Dakkafex has an odd thing on it's carapace, is that flesh hooks or spine banks, or something else? Overall it is a good swarm painted quickly.

Lictor-that was a quick and messy attempt at its camelion camoflage, as if it were almost done removing all of it....I know its no great, but it works.

Thing on fex's back-just a quick little bit to represent enhanced senses, as I like the acid maw head, but still wanted it to be wysiwyg.
