View Full Version : Jon Q's Un-official LO Painting Contest. Jon Quixote July 23rd, 2008, 19:07 Open
This competition is open to anyone of any skill. It is designed so that people can get positive feedback from their peers in a direct way from any and all.
The theme of this contest is 'Theme-less'.
This is because it is a new comp, and because it un-official and just for fun.
I thought I'd do this because no-one else has for a while, and I got bored of painting what I'm painting currently (I've painted one tank. I've got four more and it pains me!). So I thought this would give me an excuse to paint something (and showcase it without looking like a show off (not that those that do are, it's just that I don't feel like creating a thread for just one lonely model at a time, and I'm rambling. Shut up Jon, shut up.)). I hope it gives you that excuse too.
So break out your bits boxes, your dusty special characters, those random models you picked up but don't know why, and get painting.
Closing date; 23:59 (GMT) 23rd August 2008
Contest rules.
People entering have one month in which to design, build and paint a single based model to the theme set. Members will be expected to post their pictures which will then be placed into a thread for voting. It is done so that people can improve their skills, and try out things. And purely for fun, there is no prize or anything, just the fun of it
1.) Models from any manufacturer are allowed, as are scratch built models.
2.) There is one month to each project.
3.) One base (any size) per entry... Multiple models permanently fixed to the single base are allowed. No armies on display boards though.
4.) Models painted within the time frame are looked upon favourably. (It is of course impossible for us to check). Please use this competition to come up with a new idea.
5.) Pictures can be no wider than 700 pixels
6.) Maximum of two pictures can be posted. Single pictures of multiple views (montages) are allowed.
7.) The organisers of the competition have the right to refuse entry to any applicant if they feel it doesn't meet the criteria
8.) Voting. It is considered un-sportsmanlike to vote for yourself. You are voting on what you think is the most original, unique, clever conversion with the most groundbreaking painting techniques.
******
So just post your completed entries here, and if you want you can post WIPs along the way.
Good luck to one and all, and if you don't finish your model in time, please do still post your final pic as I'm sure we would all be interested in seeing it.
Thanks, and good Luck.
PS. If anyone was deciding on bringing back the official contest, I hope this doesn't get in the way, and I'm sorry if it does.
EDIT: I've already got myself egged on by posting this. I've started painting one of my Dwarfs, so sorely neglected by my recent Witch-hunter bent. Chaos877 July 23rd, 2008, 22:35 hmmmm I think i'll enter! +rep for the initiative to make a contest (I've been itching for one for quite a while). Good luck to all!:soldier: minus_t July 23rd, 2008, 22:51 Good post Jon.
I shall sticky this, and see from the reaction, whether or not I shall get another 'official' contest going on (it's been something I've been intending to do for a bit anyway...).
I shall certainly be attempting to enter something, I've got various things on the go that could end up quite nice...
Anyway, sticky-d, and given my complete backing.
Jon, if you need any help with this bud, it's just a PM away =)
-t. blue_bird July 23rd, 2008, 23:21 i quite fancy a go myself
this is the first online contest i have entered and have been looking for an excuse to buy the winged vampire
anyway with school holidays already in flight i should have plenty of time to get my entry done
sighs as he picks up cash for model ShadowZora13 July 24th, 2008, 00:54 I'm up for it. I've got all sorts of 1 shot-compulsive buy models that still need painting, so count me in, I'll find one fo them to paint up, and if not (got a few armies that sorely need building), no harm done either. Lost Nemesis July 24th, 2008, 01:45 I'll give it a go, we'll see what happens. :) Chaos877 July 24th, 2008, 02:33 does the model we enter have to be started from scratch (bare metal/plastic), already started, but finished in the timeframe, or something that's already finished? Lost Nemesis July 24th, 2008, 02:53 does the model we enter have to be started from scratch (bare metal/plastic), already started, but finished in the timeframe, or something that's already finished?
Typically, these sorts of contests (the official ones, which it appears Jon has borrowed the rules from) "require" you to start from scratch, so that everyone has the same amount of time to put work into a model of their choice. Obviously there's no way for anybody to check you, but in the spirit of the competition, you should start from scratch. shango July 24th, 2008, 04:19 I've got a lot of guy to paint, sign me up. Helbrecht July 24th, 2008, 07:45 Typically, these sorts of contests (the official ones, which it appears Jon has borrowed the rules from) "require" you to start from scratch, so that everyone has the same amount of time to put work into a model of their choice. Ok so I started working on this (http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/modelling/109276-plastic-abaddon.html#post1054967) in December and never finished it. Would this be considered too far along to finish modelliing it and then painting it? Lost Nemesis July 24th, 2008, 08:11 Helbrecht, personally I'd say that's okay, though on the line a bit perhaps. It is, after all, a painting contest first and foremost. :) Helbrecht July 24th, 2008, 08:28 Ok, well i'll go with it for now unless anyone has any objections. warhammer madman July 24th, 2008, 08:45 i would like to give the contest a go (got to find something to paint)
but nice conversion helbrecht want to se him painted... Jon Quixote July 24th, 2008, 08:48 Helbrecht, personally I'd say that's okay, though on the line a bit perhaps. It is, after all, a painting contest first and foremost. :)
I argree, the painting hasn't started, so it's a go-er, just.
PS Nice model, should be good.
I'm glad to see such interest.
I look forward to the results! Zarahemna July 24th, 2008, 09:10 This is a great idea. Chaos877 July 24th, 2008, 16:13 Well, helbrecht, and minus_t... there go my hopes of winning. I kid, of course. May the best painter win!
P.S. are diplay bases acceptable? Like, A big ol' cliff made of pink foam? Jon Quixote July 24th, 2008, 18:56 3.) One base (any size) per entry... Multiple models permanently fixed to the single base are allowed. No armies on display boards though.
;)

They are rank amateurs when distracted by cookies.
Come get the cookies guys, free cookies..... King Ulrik Flamebeard July 24th, 2008, 19:02 I might enter. I have stuff to paint, but could chase a little something out of my mass of miniatures for a bit of fun.

-t. aeroplane July 25th, 2008, 02:10 Count me in!! This will be fun.
Question -- Where did this ever become fashionable? I will happily honor the rule, but I would like comment that obviously, if everybody DID vote for themselves, those votes could completely null out, therefore not affecting the vote whatsoever...
8.) Voting. It is considered un-sportsmanlike to vote for yourself. You are voting on what you think is the most original, unique, clever conversion with the most groundbreaking painting techniques.
Just curious.
. Lost Nemesis July 25th, 2008, 04:08 Question -- Where did this ever become fashionable? I will happily honor the rule, but I would like comment that obviously, if everybody DID vote for themselves, those votes could completely null out, therefore not affecting the vote whatsoever...
That's been a part of the contest rules since they began. Simply put, if everyone is "forced" to vote for themselves, then they aren't able to participate in the voting of the contest, and we all know that that's no fun. So, don't vote for yourself, and vote for the one model you think is the best. If you think yours is best no matter what... well... then we have an ego problem.
Yes, I am talking to you, ~t! :soldier: DavidVC04 July 25th, 2008, 04:34 I'm in if I can use the one I started today. Lost Nemesis July 25th, 2008, 04:36 I'm in if I can use the one I started today.
I'd say yes.. not to steal Jon's thunder. ;) But he posted this what, yesterday? or so, and I don't see any problems there. Jon Quixote July 25th, 2008, 09:37 Theft!
I shall report this to the police!
But really, that's right. You can continue the one that you started today even though it wasn't for the comp initially, it is in the time frame, so it's cool.
I'm half way though finishing my model. But considering some of the other entrants, I'm going to have to go back over some of that stuff and 'up-my-game'.
Gah, damn you all for making me 'try'.
Oh an Aeroplane, that rule has always been there. But, since there is no way for me to check, then you can still vote for yourself if you like, but that's hardly in the spirit of things. Since there really isn't a prize for winning, there isn't much point trying to get that 'edge' over your competitors, as it is more about trying to improve your own skills than beating other people. Helbrecht July 25th, 2008, 10:10 Oh an Aeroplane, that rule has always been there. Nonsense! -T is going down! Whos with me? theres cookies! (as provided by Jon) The Doctor July 25th, 2008, 10:17 Hmm. Count me in.
I was thinking about using a model I started about a week ago (before this contest was posted), as I didn't foresee myself having a lot of time to work on it. But a few minutes ago I was struck with inspiration, and as such will start a completely scratch model tomorrow...after work (and when I say scratch, I mean it's all Bitz. Not converting an existing model).
I've never really done one of these contests, as I get easily distracted with things. Especially painting.
:beer::beer: minus_t July 25th, 2008, 12:27 ZOMG cookies!

-t. Andusciassus July 25th, 2008, 16:01 Due to the extreme lack of theme I feel Iinclined to ask if it would be alright to enter a tank?
If so I would like to...oh, cookies. Jon Quixote July 25th, 2008, 17:04 Tanks are fine. You can enter a tank.
Many tanks....thanks.
Oh and regarding the theme, the winner gets to choose the next theme, if this contest works out. Chaos877 July 26th, 2008, 05:26 Nonsense! -T is going down! Whos with me? theres cookies! (as provided by Jon)
*Teams up with Helbrecht* Tonight... we paint... in HELL! *ques dramatic music*
On a side note: this is pretty cool, 4 pages of signups and questions before the serious banter and such starts, nice to see this king of exitement ina contest (though I can't really say as I've not been here long). Jon Quixote July 26th, 2008, 09:47 Well it looks like I've done it again.
I was really happy with the painting until I snapped a pic of it and saw it really 'up-close'.
So now I'm thinking, 'Do I post it here and leave it as my entry? Or do I post it here and get to painting another mini I have in the pipeline with the option to replace this one when it is done?'
Either way, you get to see my entry.
Ta da.
http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/2090/montagexe9.png
Gah, I think I'll start painting my Gyro-copter and see how that goes.
PS. Are you saying that there is such a thins as serious banter? *Crosses fingers and closes eyes in anticipation.*
PPS. Can you tell that I have not a lot of patience? Only a couple of days into the competition and I'm 'done'. Crikey, I might aswell make a daily competition for myself, then I'll always be the winner (& loser). warhammer madman July 26th, 2008, 10:46 im going on holliday tomorrow so i wont be able to do much of anything (other than eat, sleep, body boad and play mordiem!) so heres my entry i had some spare bitz from my mordiem bands so heres a pirate on the way to lustria (look out for his gold tooth...)
im fairlyhappy with him as a one of mini but i may do a empire army in the future (lustria theamed) so he may command a unit of handgunners or part of the pirate crew of the black heart (militia with a captain commanding them...).
im not going to win but i want to take part...
P.S:like the dwarf nice non metalic styl (why cant i paint like that...) minus_t July 26th, 2008, 17:15 Jon, I love that mini.
Really nice, understated use of NMM, and really nicely achieved.
The axe, and the gold on the helmet are my favorite bits by far.
However, it just doesn't say 'contest mini' to me.
In my opinion, choosing (or converting, or sculpting) a mini is one of the most critical parts of entering a contest.
The model really has to be something special, or something that could become special with a well concieved paint scheme (ie: a fairly normal mini might become amazing when given a lighting effect, or something similar)...
Some of the metal dwarf hero minis are stunning, IMO, and if you were to paint one of them to the same standard as that little fella, you would be onto a winner, I reckon.
-t.
PS. @warhammer madman, if it's possible for you to host pics on photobucket (or something similar), it really makes sorting out the contest at the deadline much easier for Jon, as it is impossible to 'order' attached images etc etc...
Just a quick little thought for you. Zveroboy July 26th, 2008, 19:38 Hmm. Interesting. I was thinking this might spur mt to finish my T34/76, but I started that a year ago so that's not really fair.
I am however, very bored at the moment so I think I shall nip down to ym local GW and model shops for a look-see. Zveroboy glorius return to the Painting forum! Jon Quixote July 27th, 2008, 10:36 @ Madman: No need to host them on Photobucket, I can get those links easy enough, but if you could resize the pics down a bit (or just crop them) that'll save me some time. Thanks.
@ Minus t: Thanks for the compliments. I shall try again and see what I can find/do.
PS the use of semi-NMM was really only due to me finding out late in the day that half of my metallics had dried up beyond rescue. And I'm too lazy to walk the 1 km to my nearest GW / Model shop to get some new ones. Ha, belly has got me good and trained. Izzinatah July 27th, 2008, 12:26 Hey, is it too late to enter? I could use some motivation :) Jon Quixote July 27th, 2008, 12:41 Not too late. You don't 'have' to say that you are going enter (there's not a sign-up list), just as long as you post your entry here before the deadline.
Have fun and good luck. Chaos877 July 28th, 2008, 03:38 Heh, I cant wait to see all of these entries come together. As for my own progess, I'm going pretty fast, i've got a lot done, but still a long way to go. There will be no hints, or teasers as to what mine is, though. Helbrecht July 28th, 2008, 03:46 Abaddon is almost complete, just needs the black highlighted and final touch up of the sword!
Edit: I hope I can complete my entry! I might have broken my thumb playing football, i see the doctor first thing in the morning The Paint Monkey July 28th, 2008, 08:23 Oooohhh.... Painting Comp! I'm in. I just undercoated a marine commander for my Crimson Fists too, now this will give me a reason to spend more than 7 minutes on a single figure! Unimaginable paint-time luxury!
Thanks Jon... Thon. Jon Quixote July 30th, 2008, 21:42 So, I'm finished with my replacement model but for one thing. The Object Source Lighting (OSL).
It has a shed load of OSL (but no sheds), and since I've never done it before, I'm reluctant to start. And not a little worried of ruining a perfectly good model.
I'm going to take a photo (or two) of it now for comparison & posterity (or posteriority (you'll get that when you see it)), then I'll post them all together.
Before I start, does anyone have any tips on how to do OSL? I'll be checking out CMoN if it comes back online for finished examples, but if you guys have any hints to go about the action of painting it, I'd be grateful.
Thanks to minus t for the spur to get me to try something new. I just hope it works out, because if it doesn't, he'll be getting a kick in the shins at the next Meet. minus_t July 31st, 2008, 00:50 Jon, good on ya!
The Brushthralls guide is pretty good (curse them and their talents!), check it out *here* (http://www.brushthralls.com/Mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=101&Itemid=43)...
The Woldwarden right at the end is particulaly nice, IMO.
I've picked out the mini I'm, gonna be doing, and have cleaned him up.
Will try and base him tomorrow, as well as deciding on my scheme...
-t. Cyric the Mad August 3rd, 2008, 00:53 As luck would have it, this just happens to coincide with me working on my venerable dreadnought. I might actually be able to enter this one! The Paint Monkey August 6th, 2008, 07:15 Wow! I'd forgotten how much I enjoy painting! I mean not just working on a production line. Little bit saddened that I don't seem to have kept up my ability, though. DavidVC04 August 6th, 2008, 07:47 As luck would have it, this just happens to coincide with me working on my venerable dreadnought. I might actually be able to enter this one!
You and your 40K ilk are going down, mister.
The Paint Monkey, what are you painting? It better not be some 40K crap.
I'm entering my Tyrant. His Siegebreaker weapon and Mawseeker big name will protect him from your cheap, 40K imitations.
Prepare to be demolished by Blood Gruel the Flatulent, without the help of his deadly winds. The Paint Monkey August 6th, 2008, 08:08 You and your 40K ilk are going down, mister.
The Paint Monkey, what are you painting? It better not be some 40K crap.
Er... No. No, definately not.
He's an empire general in Termina... Heavy armour and handbolter... Gun! Handgun!
He's from the town of... Crimson Fistburg... in.... Imperiumshire?
So completely WHM. Not a hint of 40k. Jon Quixote August 7th, 2008, 21:18 So my first attempt at OSL went horribly wrong.
I will try a less ambitious model next time, and I'll try plain white/orange light.
Grrrr.
Here are before & after shots.

Boo hiss.
I think I'll see if I have time to paint something else. Problem is...I'm going on holiday in a week and I prolly won't have time! Curses. minus_t August 7th, 2008, 21:49 I don't think it's awful Jon, but it certainly isn't as good as could be hoped...
It kinda looks like you've just boshed some OSL over a finished and fine mini, which is definately not the way forward, IMO.
I actually think that what you've got with the light is pretty good, but the rest of the mini is a little bright.
The lighting seems to clash with what is there, because it doesn't seem to be light, it's almost like a blob of colour on top of the mini, especially with the darkening around it.
If the rest of the mini was darker, and the highlighting based more around the flames on her hands, the effect would work well, I think.
Good on ya for trying something new buddy, sorry it didn't work out as well as you'd hoped, but don't be put off!
-t. Jon Quixote August 8th, 2008, 00:15 My next attempt will be better.
It kind of reminds me of when they put those stain packs in ransom money and the thieves open it up and *blam* they get it in the face. That's what happened to her. That'll teach her for using her powers for evil.
Stupid OSL......
Minus_T, you are due a kick in the shins and you will get your cookie privilages revoked.
Stupid OSL.....
*grumble grumble* ArtificiallyEnhanced August 8th, 2008, 00:46 Oooh, a competition. I might join in. I'm temtpted to enter this: http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/painting/133397-asdrubael-vect.html
but I'm not sure. I might enter something fantasy-based. Hmmm...
*scrounges through LM and orcs. choices choices*
Ooooh, I might do my Oxayotl model. minus_t August 8th, 2008, 01:02 Minus_T, you are due a kick in the shins and you will get your cookie privilages revoked.

;_;
-t. ArtificiallyEnhanced August 8th, 2008, 01:04 Can I call shotgun on -t's cookies now they're going spare? DavidVC04 August 9th, 2008, 01:51 Blood Gruel the Flatulent will blow away the competition! Woosh!
Oops, I think he got a little :poop: with that.

I like the grot too.
Curse you all. Looks like I'm going to have to really try hard to get something painted today if I'm in with a chance.
-t can have his cookies back and no kick in the shins. I just have to try a bit harder.
AE, you can have cookies too, but just so you know, they are designed to make you lose the painting competition. Could be something to do with the crumbs. redarmy27 August 10th, 2008, 17:06 This sounds like a good excuse for me to paint some different figures. Count me in :)
Cheers,
Jake Jon Quixote August 14th, 2008, 22:52 So I have entries from Warhammer madman, David and Me.
I will be away until the 25th, but I won't be accepting any entries later than the 23rd, as per the first post.
Because I'm away, I hurried this one through, lets hope it is approved of better than my last couple of attempts.
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/6152/dwarf2dt9.jpg
Nothing really pops on this model. My first attempt at Marble worked out okay, but could be better.
I don't think I'll enter it but rather the Pyro one, just because it is a more interesting model.
Enjoy. The Paint Monkey August 14th, 2008, 22:56 Nice dwarf! I really like the stone on the hammer head. I'll be trying to finish my model this weekend and probably will- I've got a pathology exam on monday and Procrastination is my middle name (I just shorten it to Paint, in case you were wondering). redarmy27 August 15th, 2008, 04:02 Ugh! Yours both look excellent, I hope my Blood Elf puts up a little competition against your pieces. Great work both you!
Cheers,
Jake DavidVC04 August 15th, 2008, 04:17 I like that marbled effect, too. How did you do it? Cadaver Junkie August 15th, 2008, 06:11 Oh man I want in! Probably a little late for me though...still have to buy a digital camera!
...I'll post again tomorrow if I actually find one! :)
Going to paint me another imperial fist. minus_t August 15th, 2008, 10:38 Jon, he looks good buddy, I have to say though, I think you're wrong, the hammer really does pop out of the mini IMO.
My one suggestion for change would be to 'brown-ify' your NMM golds, they look a little yellow for me, especially next to the blonde beard.
Very nice though.
Looks like I'll probably be entering the Elf I have WIP rather than the mini I wanted to enter. I am too slow at this painting lark...
-t. Zveroboy August 15th, 2008, 19:43 A week to go and I've only just started. Oh well, here's to some late nights. Jon Quixote August 15th, 2008, 20:32 Thanks for the praise guys.
It means a lot, as you are my peers, and it's what keeps me painting. (That and the non-existant love life. *plays worlds smallest violin in c minor*)

Heck, how many can we enter? I've just finished a gorger, too. And Skrag is up next. Zeewulf August 15th, 2008, 21:20 Jon, I saw that marble tutorial as well and couldn't resist. Unfortunately, due to the crappyness of my camera, you can't hardly see..but...here it is, my very first space marine. I don't like his helmet all that much, but, for some reason, my firsts of anything always have funny looking heads.
Here's both sets of pictures...it looks the same, but, each one was taken from a different distance, trying to catch different details. I really need a real camera...

I'm most happy with the overall look of him but no particular part jumps out as anything I'm overly satisfied with. The photo has done something nasty to his eyes and the colours are a lot smoother IRL. I guess I need to experiment with the new camera more. And install photoshop.
Ummmm.... the ISL on the plasmagun is my first real attempt at it and the marble Terminator Honour badge is a poor attempt to mimic JQ's excellent marble work.
If I had to name a bit, I guess I'm most happy with the robe. The shading is smoother IRL (you'll just have to trust me on this) and the free hand line and dirt worked well (IMO). Actually I like his base (especially the rock) and the graze on his forehead- put your helmet on, numpty!- so I can't complain too much.
Let's see what the rest of you have brought to the game....
Edit: ps- it looks like the top down view is the nearest to actual colours, just so you know. mpdscott August 18th, 2008, 13:54 Rather than saying I'd participate and fail, this time I decided to "see what happens". If I managed to complete an entry, then great; but if I didn't then it was no big loss (of face....again).
And what do you know, it worked. I managed to finish a mini, in time for the competition. I think I'm getting back into the swing of painting with acrylics, instead of blood (CoD4 is -addictive-).
This is a model I've had sitting around for I don't know how many years now, but it's now officially an OOP Reaper mini, so it's probably been quite a while.

The glare on the backpack is only because of lighting direction....annoyingly it seems to be at exactly the right angle to reflect even after a solid matt varnish coat (I NEED to find another brand that actually matts). Jon Quixote August 18th, 2008, 19:35 *post from airport*
Looking good, I so happy that there are more entries!
And good ones too.
As a note, I need to know which two photos you want me to enter.
You are only allowed a maximum of two.
Also, there is only one entry per person. You are welcome to ignore my first two attempts, as they won't be posted in the voting thread.
Good work people, keep 'em coming.

If you mean the last one, it's a montage which is allowed, right? The Paint Monkey August 19th, 2008, 09:57 If you mean the last one, it's a montage which is allowed, right?

He is called Snippy, he likes hair dressing, hedge prunning and cutting the heads off women and children. He dislikes Space Marines, Big Brother 9 and cocktail parties.
If he could chose his dream job he would like to be a lumber jack because he loves being outdoors. If he could change anything about himself he says it would be his pot bellie. He would like to meet a woman who can look past his day job as a blue skinned death dealing monster and could see him for the guy he is deep down.
Shame that guy is really just a blue skinned cyborg killing machine!

Just a tiny bit of C+C for this one if thats OK. Firstly, finish off the side of the base. For such a beautiful mini it made me cringe when I saw the splodge of brown on the otherwise black base. Secondly the face is a bit to golden, it kinda gets lost in the rest of the gold in that area. A more pallid tone would help. That aside, WOW! lynta August 22nd, 2008, 15:54 it was supposed to be a wood elf lord/hero on a stag, but my idiot friend dropped it so alot of colours went of and all the parts of it fell apart, so im gonna have to get rid of all colors re glue it and repaint it and obviously i cant do that in one day, thats why it is this waywatcher instead.
hope you like it

yeah I finished painting him at 2 in the morning and didn't notic ethe base untill after i took the pictures. in person the face is fine but the light from the lamp i used really washed out the colors on his face for some reason. ShadowZora13 August 22nd, 2008, 23:56 Here is my entry to the contest. Did some other stuff this month as well, but I think this farseer turned out the best.

Jake Chaos877 August 24th, 2008, 03:13 I just finished my entry a few minutes ago, and it's 9:10pm where I live, so I can;t take pictures. I shall take pictures tomorrow and edit them in, hopeflly Jon would be so gracious to allow me to post my pictures a day late (Please?).

I really like the way it turned out. It looks very much the same in real life.
I know i'll get a bunch of questions about the helmet metal and the SENMM on the normal-grey metal, which I'll answer on the voting page.
Or not. I'll answer them now. Preemtive answering.
On the SENMM: There is none. I just used metalic paint and took the pics outside :P
On the helmet metal: heres how I did it
Black undercoat
Mithril silver basecoat
Gryphonne sepia wash
Baal red wash
Gryphonne sepia wash
When the above wash is nearly dry: badab black wash
delvan mud wash
(optional) delvan mud wash
I montage'd the first two pics together to keep to the limit. redarmy27 August 24th, 2008, 04:56 Woo I just realized how close I came to the pixel limitations! I'm at 697 x 354.
I want to see what you did Chaos!

Ahhhh the power of secrecy...
I'll be putting up the pictures in a bit. Jon Quixote August 25th, 2008, 18:49 Blimey, I didn't expect quite so many entries.
So, the posting is closed....
Chaos877 I shall take your word and allow you to enter your Ork, but I think you are a very naughty boy/girl/it/thing/space fungus.
I just have to sort out the entries and and post them with a voting doobery-whatsit, and as I've not done one before, I hope it works out okay.
If one of the moderators would kindly un-sticky this thread and let it die, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
Everyone else, keep an eye open for the voting!
