I am painting a Khorn lord, and what kind of follower of Khorn would he be without being covered in fresh blood. The question is how to paint it realistically. Any ideas and pics would help a lot.

It takes practice but it produces a good effect. magila July 26th, 2008, 09:41 Warhammer - Ogre Kingdoms (http://oz.games-workshop.com/games/warhammer/ogrekingdoms/painting/butchery/gore.htm) Try these tips? slorak July 26th, 2008, 17:00 The GW tips are pretty solid. I would suggest using an old toothbrush though for "spraying" blood particles on the figure. It is a little bit more controlled and it works better than a brush. Also less destructive to your brushes! Keep in mind though that spraying blook on a figure like that has to be done in moderation... Too much and it will just look odd! Cheers, -Mike macewind July 26th, 2008, 17:20 Use tamiya clear red. It looks like glistening wet blood when dry. Mix a bit of dark red paint to it for texture. http://a427.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/35/l_c0e76251d0af64a9cb5a578ef5317d52.jpg slorak July 26th, 2008, 23:48 Yes Tamiya clear red is very good. I use it quite often. Very nice looking gore there Macewind! Cheers, -Mike Marlinspike July 27th, 2008, 05:04 Thirding the Tamiya Clear Red. Works great if you add a bit of purple ink to darken the darker areas. Dwayne July 27th, 2008, 08:20 I found that blood works quite well on mini's as long as you are applying it to anything not black, sometimes the actuall thing works best:act-up:. -Dwayne |
