Well this is my first attempt to paint something propperly, so to speak. Everything in the past has stayed at the basecoat stage, if it was lucky, otherwise it was just the undercoat. I didnt realy choose a good unit to have a first go on, as painting bone onto black sucks!

Anyhow im happy with the result for a first go, they dont look as 'clean' as the 'Eavy metal mini's... but hey, cant expect to be that good off the bat :p

So any hits or tips? They dont look to bad from a few inches away but upclose there very streaky in the shaded areas's

For a first attempt they are looking rather fine! I sense that you could go far... Hmm, advice, there really isn't that much I can see which needs advice on, actually. The only thing I can really see is the sword blade on the main focus banshee, as there appears to be no shading around such an area. May be worth carefully giving a flesh wash over the gold details on the blade as that will make it stand out more. As far as the silver goes, it depends how you want it to look really. Such weapons are variable to how dirty they would look, so you could use a black wash over the blade to make it darker, or you could keep it looking clean is at is now as this would hint at how sharp the blade actually is. I would recommend adding at least a little shading down at the base of the blade near the hilt however, as there would likely be shadows there. Otherwise, a very good start and it seems as if you could go a long way with a little practise =). Have some rep =D.

For your first real work this is quite good. A nice table top quality. =) However, I think the suit could do with a little bit more contrast between the undersuit and the plates on top. A slightly darker grey would work quite well in all honesty or even a very light wash of chaos black, just to add a bit more depth to the miniature.

Thanks for the comments guys. I did try to highlight the swords but i found it very hard to get a good shade on them with making them look dirty. Which i dont think any Eldar weapon should ever look like.
I have toyed with the idea of shading in a light blue / green to give them some colour and shade it up to silver, but so far i havent had the balls to try it.
Ive learned from things i have done in the past that i tend to tamper to much and spoil things. I dont just didnt know when to say stop, its finished. :)
