Ok, I've heard people talking about that Nagash may be in the new Tomb Kings book whenever that comes out. Does anyone believe that?

Thats not to say they won't put him in the army book. In both the Vampire Counts and rumoured to be in the new Warriors of Chaos, there are special characters from different eras. (Mannfred and Archaon, respectively). So it IS possible they could have Nagash from his glory days.

Only way you'll see him again really is in a campaign like Storm of Chaos. "Return of the Liche King" style thing as he wouldn't fit in the Tomb Kings book because they hate him, and he doesn't fit in a Vamps book because they are the disgraced generals.

I agree with Von here. He wouldnt fit in either list as when he was here in HeroHammer (5th ed to you young'uns) it was just "Undead" and he was their creator. Then when they split them up they made up the fluff that Nagash created the Tomb Kings and the Vampire Counts betrayed him.

The only way I can see him turning up is in a worldwide campaign (which GW said they aren't doing any more of) with a new army list of Nagash's Kingdom or something. That would be sweeeeet.

There was rumour that he would be getting his own army book, and indeed GW are talking about a new army... I wouldn't bet on it though. The rumours of a Nagash summer campaign were killed off by GW. He is just too powerful to have rules for again, he would either need to be watered down too much or be rediculously overpowered.

Here is a thought, in apocolypse they just relased rules for angron the daemon primarch of the world eaters. Who is to say they won't have rules for Nagash in the epic battles part of WHFB

Nagash would be like combining the magical prowess of Teclis with the fighting strength of a Chaos Lord..i.e. a Greater Demon on steroids (obsidian armour, collar of Khorne etc) would maybe have a chance against him.

However, he COULD be feasible, especially if the value of the battle was high enough, say he took up two lord choices? That way, a High Elf army could bring in two Dragons or a Chaos mortal army could attempt to counter him with a Chaos Lord + Sorceror lord.

His forces could also be represented by Tomb Kings with no Tomb Kings/Princes, but Liche Priests and generals such as Arkhan the Black, who can wield Dark Magic, with a couple of units thrown in from the Vampires book - Ghouls for example, from the region of the sour sea, and Zombie Dragons.
Nagash could also be recreated from the Vampires-only book by allowing a Vampire Lord access to the whole of the Arkayne and the whole of the Courtly power, with the appropriate magic items.

It would be a very short book, however, as the majority of the fluff is in the two existing Undead books, and would be realistically limited to a special "variant" list.

If he had his own book it would likely be a necromancer based army, like what you could do in previous editions of VC. I like the idea of a necro-based army and was pretty disappointed to see them made worthless compared to the vampires.

No more worldwide campaigns? OMG, the worst has finally befallen us.
Has GW actually taken that sort of path? Seems to me that they've taken the worst decision ever. Besides, wouldn't that seriously damage their sales somewhat?

No worldwide campaigns *whimpers*

I had the nagash model of old (got it in 1993) and the old rule book, think a 4 wound magically powerful greater demon with giant sword and extra spells. The guy is a sucker for cannon shout though.

I've just heard from a GW Staff employee, that Nagash is turning up in Games Day as the WHFB Mega Battle, where he woke up to find legions of jelous lich-priests itching to gain the power he has.
Apparantly it's going to include massive Sphinxes and other undead constructs joining in as they were summoned by both Nagash himself and the Lich-Priests, as they battle for ultimate power!

I don't know about this one, but I think It's worth me checking it out while I'm there.

Plus a 5 foot tall black pyrimid to finish the coolness off *shivers in the shadows*
