Please discuss general SoL stuff here:
http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/general-hobby-discussion/143337-sons-librarium-discussion.html

Keeps this thread clear so I can add people easier.

Well, some of us have been discussing this on Chat, so heres the fluff we have:

The Sons of the Librarium was a chapter founded in the early 41st Millenium to combat the new ever-growing threat of the Age of Ending, their primary charge was to gather information and help other chapters and even races in their charges, this chapter was founded to rival the Eldar’s Black Library. It is unknown where the geneseed of the Sons of the Librarium arose from.

The Chapter follows its own version of the Codex Astartes, with variant company sizes.

Example sizes follow:

2nd-6th Companies

Captain
Command Squad
Ten Veterans
Two Dreadnoughts
Fifty Tactical Marines
Ten Assault Marines
Ten Devastator Marines
Twenty Scouts

This weird company size is due to their ways of teaching to the new recruits of the Chapter, this allows the knowledge to be passed on to the next generation.

The 1st Company is also different to the Codex, example follows:

Chapter Master
Honour Guard
Twenty Veterans
Twenty Terminators
Four Dreadnoughts
Thirty Tactical Marines
Thirty Assault Marines
Two Land Raiders

The Tactical and Assault Marines in the 1st Company are among the highest valued members of the Chapters being trained by the Veterans of the 1st Company as replacements when it comes to their time of duty. The Dreadnoughts and Land Raiders are permanently assigned to the 1st Company. The Honour Guard consists of the Librarians and Chaplains of the Chapter as these members withhold the Chapters history as foremost. The Chapter Master of the Sons of the Librarian wanders the galaxy readily with his most trusted members of the Chapter taking over the running of the Chapter until he returns.

Origins
The Sons of Librarium is an ancient order of Space Marines. It is uncertain when the Sons were formed, and their status as a true Chapter is equally uncertain. What is known of the Sons of Librarium, is that some time during the Heresy, or shortly thereafter, marines were gathered from each of the prestigious chapters and charged with the defense of the knowledge of Man. Across the galaxy, ancient shrines of dusty lore held the secrets of the Space Marines, Adepts, and even -it is whispered- the true account of the Emperor's life before his Ascension.

Recruiting
At the time of their creation, members of each chapter were sent to represent their Masters amidst the Librarium. Now it is rumored that each chapter sends one to three of it's prime warriors or scholars to serve in the Shrines, much in the same way as the Deathwatch is created. However, unlike the Deathwatch, once a marine is sent from his chapter to the Librarium, he will not return until his century and a half term is completed. Legend holds that when a marine is sent to join the Librarium, his chapter gives him a funerary send off. This may be attributed to the high rate of attrition over the 150years of service, but darker theories persist that it allows the donor-chapter to replace the marine and remain at 1,000 men.
The chapter also pulls men directly. Many of the Tactical marines and even a few captains and other veteran members are recruited directly from the local populations near the very Shrines that they protect.
Each member of the chapter bears some mark of their origin, whether they were initiated within one of the hallowed shrines, or were sent to represent another chapter. The most common method of showing this iconography is in the form of a small shield located near the shoulder, although some warriors bear their heraldry on pennants or amulets.

Organisation
The Sons of Librarium are considered a ‘fleet based’ chapter, much in the same way as the Black Templars. The main body of the Chapter plies the stars, engaged in crusades for more knowledge, running battles fought to regain lost tomes of lore, or just patrolling between their many assets. The chapter maintains a multitude of hidden shrines and secluded monasteries. Each of them is manned by a small number of the elite marines, who rotate their duty between their other ship-board brethren. Highly monastic in nature, the marines conceal their true nature in heavy, hooded robes. They are renowned for their silence, but even more so for their scrutiny of visitors. Many of these shrines remain hidden from the eyes of even the Council of Terra, guarding knowledge privy to only those whom the chapter has deemed worthy.
Beyond their fleet/monastery nature, the Sons of Librarium are a largely codex chapter, fielding the standard 10 companies of 100.

this way, those of us with existing armies who want to make use of our persona, have a chance to do so, while those who have no former allegance can simply say they were directly recruited. Also makes sense, having us so spread out. It's not like we all congregate in one place anyway...

And Chapter scheme:

http://i309.photobucket.com/albums/kk392/picklestudios/lospacemarine2.jpg

Approximate Colours, Highlight/shade accordingly. Company Colours go on arms or pads as example above.
Blue = Ultramarine Blue
White = Skull White
Bone = Dheneb Stone
Eyes = Ice Blue
Soft Armour/Gun = Boltgun Metal

1st Company = Shining Gold
2nd Company = Chainmail
3rd Company = Dwarf Bronze
4th Company = Brazen Brass
5th Company = Tin Bitz
6th Company = Mechrite Red
7th Company = Dark Angel Green
8th Company = Desert Yellow
9th Company = Mordian Blue
10th COmpany = Adeptus Battlegrey

Ok, now onto how we will run this, each member will choose a placing in the chapter, the 1st Company, Captains (Mods only), All positions will be available to anyone, also vehicles, crew etc are available if you ask. Assault Marines can take bikes etc too if you wish, get together with your friends and make squads even. We just want fluff for your member of the Chapter, even if it is a vehicle and make the fluff realistic :P.

So get posting, claim your spot, get your fluff up and we’ll add you to the next post :D Also if you really want to, you can convert a marine and paint it up in the LO scheme :P. Be cool I think, can't wait to see those that do.

Oh, I am SO calling an Ironclad Dreadnought!!

Seriously, it's practically my perfect unit - see my user title over there <<<?? It's incredibly unlikely because I'm 6'4", 300 pounds, built like a football Lineman, just plain too big to be missed (nickname? The Bear), and yet I'm infamous for sneaking up on people in plain sight!

I'll guarantee right now that my own Ironclad will be suitably modelled/painted, just as soon as it's released. And I'll start working on the fluff first thing tomorrow!

I'll be a veteran sergeant in the in the 9th company (so the commander of a devastator squad)

All companies other than first have 10 veterans, 40 tactical marines, 10 devastators 10 assault marines and 20 scouts. Including 10th

AFG I applaud the decision to be a tac marine in 10th company, not many armies let you ;)

I'm throwin my marker in as the Scout sergeant of squad 9 in 7th company. Trains devastators so a sniper-squad leader. Teaches the importance, of surprise, accuracy and eliminating the enemy in one blow. However also insists that all members of his squad train at short range and melee combat.

Carries a stalker pattern boltgun, camo-cloak, modified laspistol, combat knife and extended range com. The laspistol is kept from his days as a pdf, an item he clutched in his hand through the entire process of his implantations. He carried it untll becoming a sergeant, at which point he requested to have it modified to be usable again (it's been re-calibrated and resized to fit a space marine and counts as a bolt pistol)
Most often fielded against Xenos, his home planet (which he was a PDF gunner in) was overrun by a Necron Incursion that was embattled by Eldar. One of the few survivors the SoL picked up before glassing the planet. Found manning an autocannon set up in a small bank of trees against the hated xenos. He fights with a cold-calculating hatred that is often unseen in marines.

A guardsmen transferring his tactics to space marines? Hmm. Not sure if I'd make a good scout. As a guardsmen commander I only know three things: Missing important shots. Firing a lot more times to make up for the missed shots. Dying.

Really good at the third one ^^

Brother-Sergeant of a Tactical squad in the 3rd Battle Company. Will make fluff later..Brother -Sergeant Sarron reporting for duty(really didn't wanna be sgt sauron, so did the closest thing..).

Fluffage:
During the recruitment on his homeworld Beck Sarron eagerly awaited to be chosen to join the ranks of the fabled rising chapter; the Sons of the Librarium. Recently founded, and shrouded in mystery, the young boy was filled with anticipation on the day the chapter representatives arrived.

Barely passing the physical requirements due to poor eyesight, he was given the green light from the companies Librarian, who's vast knowledge and ability of foresight saw potential in him. He returned and underwent the intense indoctrination and grueling training required by the Sons, to eventually receive the Space Marine implants.

Now a scout in the 10th company he resolved not to let the Librarian down. Training hard and striving to better himself he was finally introduced into the 3rd company as a Battle-Brother. Using his new status he went to the chapters Master of the Forge and requested a bionic eye to compensate for his failing eyes. The techmarine obliged. Brother Sarron's new eye proved to be a great boon for him on the battlefield, allowing him to quickly become the squads best sharpshooter.

Unfortunately this streak of luck was not to last forever. During a routine purge mission of a small hive, the squad was caught off-guard by a small band of Chaos marines who were looking for an artifact hidden in the lower reaches of the hive. Outnumbered almost two to one, the squad made their stand. The ensuing firefight and brutal melee left the squad understrength and dangerously low on ammo. Sarron had taken massive damage to his power pack, three members were wounded and the rest of squad Illius had been slaughtered, including Sergeant Illius himself.

When he returned to the Strike Cruiser in orbit, Sarron was promoted to Brother-Sergeant of the remaining members of squad Illius, now squad Sarron, in light of the dispatching of 17 Chaos space marines and his work in helping thwart their search for the artifact. His squad was reinforced to full strength and they were re-inserted into the 3rd company. Since then Sarron has proven himself a capable sergeant, and excellent marksmen. Though what waits in store for him and his noble squad? Only time will tell.

I was hoping not to make him seem like the "god of all sergeants" thing..hope I accomplished that. Just wanted his fluff to sound interesting. Uh..armed with just a Boltgun and Chainsword, no rules..though I think it would be cool if he was BS5 or something..

Peace..I guess I should put the Chapter battle cry here now..which is what now?

Chaplain Ost’Alego of the Sons of the Librarium Space Marine Chapter.

Reporting for duty if he may...

Some History…

Chaplain Ost’Alego was first inducted into the Reclusiam during the Damocles Gulf Crusade where the Emperors’ Ghosts found themselves at the front of the crusade among other famous chapters such as the Black Templars. Ost’Alego fought as a veteran sergeant at the head of a large vanguard company, consisting of the 8th reserve company, that helped drive deep into the various cities on the Tau worlds and decimate the defenders. On several occasions it became aware to other members of the 8th company that Ost’Alego was a gifted fighter and more often than not would be leading assaults alongside chaplain Tarik. He would plough into the defenders, dispatching them at lighting speed before instilling his fellow warrior to purge the unclean again and again. It was only against the master Kroot shaper of the world of Elsy'eir that chaplain Tarik fell in combat against the beast and upon his death Ost’Alego charged headlong into the shaper that had killed Tarik. Despite being less trained than Tarik his fury and power eventually overwhelmed the shaper and he was victorious. Ost’Alego then took Tarik back to the strike cruiser he arrived on but found it destroyed so he took the nearest craft he found and fled back to the chapter, where Tarik decried that Ost’Alego should become a chaplain. His company was then engaged In combat with a mysterious enemy who refused to die. At the last moment a large craft appeared in the upper atmosphere when the marines had the upper hand and practically destroyed the rest of the company from orbit. Unlike the rest of the company Chaplain Ost’Alego fled as far as he could realising too late that the enemy were the necrotyr. He since was found wandering the webway as if by accident and sent on his way towards the Sons of the Librarium by an Eldar Farseer. He has since been introduced in the chapter with open arms but veterans keep an close watch on him due to his mysterious past which he has been reluctant to tell anyone about.

Any comments welcomed

Firstly, apologies for the poor quality of this, but I prefer the story way of telling fluff.

Veteran Sergeant Waflud Herbius, Tactical Squad Herbius, 2nd Company.

The Rhino jolted erraticly as it sped across the uneven field, the earth churned by countless artillery shells.

Auto-compensators whining, he punched the top hatch open, looking ahead and gauging the distance remaining to the Heretic's trench. Flicking his head to one side as a heavy Las-blast came just to close for comfort, he took one last glance at the rapidly approaching enemy position, and ducked back into the APC.

"Set chronometers, 30 seconds countdown!" He bellowed over the noise of the transport's massive engine, and instantly a digital readout was superimposed on his, and all his squad's, vision. "On zero, disembark left!"

He offered a prayer to placate the Machine Spirit of his Chainsword, as he revved the micromotor, and ensured the teeth moved smoothly. He then hefted his Boltgun in his right hand, calibrating the targetting system. It was his one eccentricity; strictly speaking a it wasn't a Sergeant's weapon, but he preferred the marksman spec. Bolter, with M.40 targetter, to the more customary Bolt Pistol.

The Sergeant stood by the left-side hatch, muttering a prayer to the Emperor. With clinical precision, as soon as the countdown wound down to 0, the transport slewed round, stopping with a juddering halt, and the 10 marines sprang out of the side and rear hatches, bolt shells and frag grenades turning the trench before them into a charnel house of blood and broken bodies in the space of a few heartbeats. Impossibly, a group of the Heretics survived the storm, and a few of the less dazed started to return fire, but they were soon silenced when Herbius's flamer trooper cleansed the trench with holy fire.

The Veteran Sergeant looked up and down the trench, where more blue-and-white armoured warriors were delivering the Emperor's Justice to the Chaos-worshiping scum.

"Alright, lads, into the trench! Prepare for the counter-attack!" he yelled, jumping down himself, driving the Chainsword into the ground and using both hands for his Bolter, ready to drop any officers foolish enough to try to lead a charge against them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So, there we have it, the loud, somewhat eccentric Veteran Sergeant Herbius.

NiteRabbit
September 24th, 2008, 21:42
Hmm...can I be the 4th Company Chaplain? Fluff to follow later. Would've picked 1st Company but it's already taken so...meh ;__;

At first, NiteRabbit was a silent and unknown battle brother amongst the ranks of the Sons of the Librarium, who was not able to make his voice heard amidst the least of his comrades. It was only after 50 years of active service that his faith and fervour both in battle and in carrying the Word of the Emperor were noticed by the reclusiam and he was singled out to become a Chaplain. 50 years of dedication and hard work studying the chapter's history and legends, the proverbs of the Imperial faith and the rites of hatred and promised victory that inspired his battle brothers to charge in the face of all odds.

However a tactician, NiteRabbit was not. It was during the Morrowan Insurrection that he made his most grievous blunder, during a crusade to break the back of the Ork offensive in the region. The 4th company was instructed to deploy by Drop Pod and support the Imperial Guard in crushing the Warboss's personal guard and such was the Chaplain's fervour that the Astartes moved far beyond the battle line and overextended their resources, allowing the Orks to sweep in and crush the squads that had followed under his command. NiteRabbit himself barely escaped with his life and holds himself personally responsible for the grave miscalculation, adding to his almost terrifying hatred of the Orks and causing him to leave the chapter in self-imposed exile to atone for his crimes.

For 50 years the lone Chaplain wandered the Morrowan system, offering his aid in battles against the Orks themselves or spearheading an offensive against the heretical Menites of the Sul cluster. During this time he was free to contemplate the truth of the Emperor's teachings and why he had not only failed to lead his brothers to victory but failed to keep them alive. After stunning victories and crushing defeats and every other kind of outcome in between, he finally realised that a Chaplain's duty was not to lead but to inspire, to carry out the Captain's orders and ensure that his brothers did the same with all of their strength and ability. He should not take responsibility for the failings of everyone around him but be ready to assist them when they fell.

Thus inspired, NiteRabbit returned to the Chapter and rejoined the restored 4th Company. He continues to preach the Chapter's history and the Imperial creed and endeavours to the best of his ability to be an exemplary Space Marine, in hopes that others will aspire to the same ideal. Whether it is as a voice of reason or a firebrand that spurs his brothers onwards with litanies of hate, the Chaplain is the embodiment of the twin virtues, faith and duty.

Process the venerable dreadnought of doom. Process became known as bullet magnet allready during her earliest campaigns preferring to get up close and dirty with her heavy flamer. Entombing took place after an accident involving a pair of sassy boots a flamer and Ginger ninja. The loss of the killer shoes made her want to be entombed forever as no other shoes would ever be that great again. Dreaddie in 1:st Company.

Since everyone is wanting their own schemes, why not just steal one of those shields from a friends terminator? I'm sure it wouldn't be too crazy if everyone had their own heraldry. I've seen it done in that marine army in the Cities of Death book, and it looked pretty swanky. As for fluff, if you are a vet wait for a few members. Secondly, credit to Pickle for putting all this together!

Thirdly, I'm pretty keen to sign on.

A few people have suggested they would like to be a Techmarine, and if possible I'd also like such a position. Given I'm not quite a 'veteran' here, I'd probably be a lower-ranking techmarine, if the position is even open.

If I can't be a techie, I wouldn't mind being just a standard marine with a Meltagun. Mmm, melty goodness!

Well, if the post of biggunz sarge ends up untaken by those more worthy, consider me, please?

Tutankhankh is a lowly battle brother with more ambition than is good for him, and an inflated sense of his own worth. Rather arrogant and unlikable, with a sense of humour nobody but a mother could love - not that his did - he is also secretly a malcontent, but is very, very good at hiding it.
Nobody, in fact, knows why he was admitted to the glorious Sons of the Librarium, but it is known that he possesses no outstanding qualities, being mediocre at best in any field and more probably sub-par. No chance of any important role, probability of promotion is laughable.
He was likely only chosen because the chapter was in crisis; else, he might have been one of the marginal choices who only got in because some bureaucratic entrance examinator wanted to fill his quota. He was likely given a place in a devastator squad simply in order to keep him away from the front lines, wielding a multimelta because he's less likely to friendly-fire anybody if his target is a big honkin' tank.
But at least he has chicken!

Since we have so many dreads (5 at the moment i think), we should probably have
Heed the Wisdom of the Ancients
Hear but Don't be Heard-(See but don't be seen)
Parchment over steel-(Flesh of steel)

I know traits are disapearing, but that aspect of the new dex can go and make neophytes with itself.

As for fluff, i think that all dreads (myself included) should provide (either in this thread or another) an extensive detail on what we accomplished (or at least had enough enough tantrums to obtain) before being banged up in a tin can with megaphone, and what we tripped over at the top of the dorm stairs that got us 2 arms of pure book protecting badness.

Hey Pickle, requesting transfer to the 4th Company at the request of a good friend. Also, fluff has been added for my Marine, if you want to take a look :3

omegoku
September 26th, 2008, 12:12
Omegoku was born on the backwater planet of Ire-laund amid a tribal war.
Beastmen, mutated by the foul drinking water over centuries had come to dominate the Southern section of the planet. To the North human tribes banded together to push back the foul creatures.
It is believed by Imperial scholars that it was in fact the poisonous junk thrown in the river by the human settlers that caused those to the south to devolve so horrendously.

Omegoku quickly grew to become a strong leader. At 8, he already had the best pointy stick and had been the first to develop the concept of armour. Armed with such technology, omegoku was able to dispatch more beastmen than any of the other warriors. During one such encounter, a howling was heard and a monstrous bird who flew on wings of fire appeared over the battlefield. As all others craned their necks upwards, omegoku heroically slit the throats of nearby enemies.

It was then that a giant in armour stood before them and took omegoku and a few other boys with him.

After a grueling few years, learning about the Imperium and the Chapter, subjected to surgery and hypno indoctrination, omegoku emerged as a Scout. Handed a sniper Rifle, omegoku was happy to be able to spill the blood of the enemy once more.

Many years of fighting alongside his fellow scouts under the guidance of a grizzled old veteran sergent saw omegoku rise slowly to become squad leader. showing a talent for Leadership and a knack of being sneaky made sure that it wasn't long until the higher ups of the chapter took notice and he was granted a position of squad leader in a newly created devestator squad. He would be called upon to lead the combat squad created when the more veteran members of the team decided it was tactically sound to split the squad.

Slowly rising through the ranks, he fought hundreds of battles in many theaters of war, as a devastator, an assault marine, a tactical marie and eventully was raised to the position of Sergent.

it was after some 300 years of service that the Marine was finally raised to position of Sergent of the first Company veterans. Armed with the Powerfist of the previous Sergent and a storm bolter received on elevation to first company, he has led his squad in some of the most dangerous actions, from fighting within a traitor Titan, to leading a kill team through a Hive ship to hunting Warbosses on Armageddon.

I'd really like to put together a model to represent 'me', but I don't really have many marine bitz, so I might not do it right away. I'm tempted to try sketching it though.

I think we need to clarify a few things about the chapter both for people writing fluff and for people building models of their character. I know people will write fluff about where their character originally came from before joining the chapter so it makes sense for them to recruit from numerous worlds so that people have a lot of freedom on their place of origin. Perhaps they send some sort of fleet based recruiting drive scouring around nearby systems every few years?

We also need chapter heraldry, which should probably look something like the LO logo. I don't think the logo as it is is perfect for a space marine chapter symbol, but something which resembles it would be good. I also like the idea that each person can have their own individual heraldry, but if we do that we need somewhere for them to put it on the marine. The only real place I can think of is the right shoulder pad, and perhaps put the squad type symbols that usually go on that shoulder pad onto a knee pad or something?

Also, do we have any colour scheme variations? Like for example many chapters have a different colour helmet for veterans, or different trim colours for different companies or squad types. Do we have anything like that?
Also, what colour are tabards and cloaks if people want to use models that have them?

Just a few things to think about.

Wolf Lord Herby
September 26th, 2008, 15:39
I was also thinking, from Sarathai's Ordos idea, that it could be built into fluff, that fairly often, though by no means exclusively, members of the Chapter are sent out on personal crusades to locate a specific tome.

This could allow people to include themselves in their armies, saying they just happenned to be there at the same time, or crusading in the same area, whatever.

Just a thought.

kithre
September 26th, 2008, 15:41
I'd say that we could signify the company colours best through the use of different coloured right arms, so that marines behind you can see your company as you fire your bolt gun with the left shoulder forward.

1st could be gold, 2nd silver, 3rd bronze, 4th Amethyst, 5th metallic blue, 6th green, 7th red, 8th purple, 9th grey, and scouts have no colour?
That way the battle companies have the "metallic" arms, the reserve companies have solid colours

And as for helmet colours, how about simple stripes for rank - red for Veteran sarge, blue for normal sarge, and banded with silver for 1st company, and gold stripes for captains?
Weapons speciality could be down to insignia on the kneepads, or else just use the standard astartes designations on the right shoulder pads - iron cross for 1st company, saltire cross for assault, triangle for devestator and arrows for tactical

Well i've pretty much got my Pre Subsumed by the sons of the librarium worked out, here's what i've got so far:

The Exaggeration of the Inhumation of the most Hebetudinous Spartan

Pre subsumed by the Sons of the Librarium

Spartan stopped and let his ears attune to his silent surroundings, not a sound. Not that this was in any way unnerving, for Spartan was on Athenaeum Si-prima, the largest pansophical class world in Segmentum Obscurus minor. The entire 1670km diameter planet was a library, and those few scholars that had heard of it and managed to travel there were choked to silence by its majesty (although a few more observant visitors attributed this to the apocalyptic quantities of minute parchment fragments floating in the air conditioned chambers). Those few visitors would only venture as far as the first few hundred kilometres, to go further into the aisled depths was forbidden by the monks of the Library. The travellers were always struck by how, unmonkly the monks were, although they were their customary habits, they could not hide the finely honed limbs of the monks, nor their peculiar accents and quick jesting attitudes (although they rarely said anything, it was a library after all, and even those stuck in the corners of the galactic disc have rules).

Spartan suddenly dropped to a crouch and sprung forwards, tackling a prismical shape and straddled it, drawing a finely crafted pot of clag he deftly incapacitated the figure by shoving the pot under a small protrusion. In the flickering light emerging from his shoulder tallow pot he saw that it was the runaway volume from isle 6248.1823D, The Saga of Jane and Tealucis Ballicus (It has been hypothesized by many that the close proximity of so many ancient and some sentient books has...*records traumatized by unfinishedness, Viewing session terminated*

Inquisitor Blackadder
September 26th, 2008, 21:06
Ooh, ooh oooh, can I request 2nd Company Assault marine? please please please!

Like leaves in the wind Brother Blackadder and his fellow battle-brothers descended upon the Eldar Rangers camp site. The muffled whelp escaping a Ranger's mouth as the adamantium clad boots of Blackadder's exquisitely crafted power armour instantly pulverised it on impact was the first signal the xenos had of their demise.

One battle-brother simultaneously decapitated one Eldar with a short stroke of his purring chainsword whilst dispatching another with a sharp bark of his Bolt pistol in the chest, the spray of gore splotching his pristine chapter colours of the Sons of the Librarium. Another was fighting hand to hand, overcome in the heat of the battle, wanting to end the alien's life using his fists to deliver raw blows of power that shattered bone with every strike. Within a matter of minutes a tenderised corpse crumpled to the ground.

Brother Blackadder was just about to show the Emperor's light to one of the Rangers when a blur of a shining wraithbone blade struck his Bolt pistol and cleaved it in two. As the enraged Space Marine turned to inspect the foolish hero he sprung a kick at the lucky Eldar in the groin, incapacitating him for later.Lifting up his Cameleoline hood the alien displayed markings that attributed him to be the squad leader. A sneer wrought itself across Blackadder's face. 'Time to die' he thought and unsheathed his combat knife strapped to his leg. A lightning quick lunge from the Astartes initiated the combat, but was deftly blocked by the wraithbone knife of the Eldar as he stepped back. Pacing twice to the side a second strike, with a swift flick of the wrist, managed to find its mark on the Rangers arm as it attempted to dodge to the right, but his feet slipped on the blood of one of his comrades, the chainsword biting in, gorging on the xenos flesh with its teeth like a ravenous primeval creature. This momentary lapse of concentration spelling the doom of the leader, Blackadder dives in for the kill. A blur of steel is the last sight the Eldar sees as The giant in front stabs the blade in the front of his neck, wrenching him off the ground into a cartwheel loop in the air. As he is united with the floor, there is no light in his eyes...just the darkness of the night.

Scanning the melee ground as he cleans the filth off his blade Brother Blackadder observes that all but 1 of the 8 Rangers have been eviscerated. Members of the squad begin to pick up the corpses and pile them on top of the disabled remaining Alien as Blackadder radios in to his Sergeant.
"All targets taken care of, over"
A crackle of static washes over the reply, but the troopers enhanced senses distinguish the words discernibly.
"Affirmative. Relocate to my position, it shall be our checkpoint. Glory to The Emperor, out"
Understood. Glory to Him, over and out."
As Brother Blackadder orders his squad to initiate jump pack ignition, the trooper armed with the flamer torches the pile of Alien filth until it is dripping with incandescent heat. The final death cries of the unlucky Eldar is drowned out by the roaring flame of the Astartes jump packs, risng up like firefly's into the night.

How's that? Just so you know I only got a C at foundation level in English, so i understand if there are (vast) improvements to be made :P

Everyone added, up to this point.

In general, was gonna try editiong the LO symbol onto the scheme, but decided otherwise. The LO Symbol, if someone dares to paint it that is goes as normal on the left pad of the marine. The marines personal helraldry goes on the right pad. Our arms could be painted to signify companies, relating back to an Ordos? Helmets will have stripes according to rank etc. Will add more to the fluff soon.

Montyhaul
September 26th, 2008, 23:31
Haul remembers little of his life before the program of indoctrination; a desperate existence on a sprawling, rotten hive world. A thieving Juve in an Orlock warband; trading hot goods as often as stubber shots with the scum of the Underhive.

They called him 'Haul', because he stole things.

One day, Lek, arrived unexpectedly at the boy’s hovel. Haul froze. A week ago he’d impulsively stolen a stash of 'Slaught from the leader, and he'd worried it would come back on him. As the domineering drunk started, he could tell he was okay for at least another day;

'Some big shot, here in the hive; off-worlder. Gear unlike anything anyone's ever seen; and I'm not talking Van Sarr's, oh no no no'.

He raised a leather gloved finger at the boy.

'Like nothing on the hot markets'. And e's massive. Bigger than the biggest Goliath goon you ever saw. Big as a frickin' Scaly.'

The grizzled killer leant to the boy's level and gripped his shoulder painfully hard, with the hand that was missing two fingers.

'They're sayin' he's a 'Starties. And he's here recruitin'. They say he's here to see the best of the best. Of our Juves. So you're going to go show em, see? You're going to go show em you're the most brutal little Ripperjack in this whole stinking sector'.

Lek's breathe stank of the corrosive alcohol they brewed at Slav's place.

'You gets to see the galaxy, and eat hot meals. Rah rah rah...' he trailed off. Swigging from a metal canister, he jerked and shoved Haul to the settlement. They were joined by more gangers. 'Haul's not gonna let us down are you boy?' one of them unpleasently called out.

'and if you get it wrong, boy, you don't bother coming back.' hissed the Chief.

Haul scowled at the drunk. 'Hahaha, them's the breaks, rat! It's time you paid your way, and the way I see it, you've stolen enough from all of us to make this the only way.'

Down at Roachnest settlement, the enforcer bastards were in the usual defensive perimeter. They were beside one of their riot tanks; inside their visored helmets you could tell they were bricking it - but the gangers were thinking of the creds if their Juves were chosen, so no-one was kicking off. Yet.

‘We're gonna live like frickin' Spyrers, lads! You just wait.' Lek shoved Haul towards the cordoned area, where he was processed by a Sergeant flanked by twitchy, shotgun-gripping enforcers. Inside there were scrags from all most of the neighbourhoods. All were young, most were malnourished but hardy in their own way; a strength in sinew and tenacity. Many would already have been working for hive gangs. Many would already be killers.

Men in another uniform were among them now, but they were not enforcers; these were offworlders; you could hear it in their voices. Over the course of the next few hours, they thinned the crowd. The older ones were filtered down the road towards the markets. Others too malnourished or diseased were sent back the way they came. Some caused trouble, but were dragged off by enforcers before a real fight could start.

Haul scrutinised the remaining pair. A squat, bulky Goliath juve; hair spiked with axel grease, no doubt hoping for the impression of extra height. A cruel-faced Delaque youth surveyed them both through round goggles, like a sump fly. Both bore the scars and expressions of underhive hardship. They both looked strong, and cruel.

'I've seen more life in a Ratskin's vest'. Spat the Delaquin. The Goliath boy raised a pierced eyebrow 'you wanna say that again Scavvy? You want me to smack that bald 'ead of yours about a bit?'

Something unfolded from the darkness of a nearby building, and the talk stopped. It was a giant of a man, eight feet tall. He was clad in magnificent, blue and grey armour, an era apart from the primitive gear the men of this world dealt and fought with.

In his immense hands he carried a great machine of a gun; more solid and intrinsically fearful than the greatest of heavy stubbers. Further ammunition clips protruded from behind the giant's tremendous pack. Grenades pregnant with grim promise clinked at his waist, and about the Marine's neck gleamed aheavy gold pendant; a shimmering winged skull. A smaller version of that immense Boltgun was holstered to the Space Marine's hip; a weapon the boy Haul could only be able to manage with both hands.

A baritone voice began to articulate the first words of a litany, in magnificent, reverent tones. The enforcers and the soldiers stood to silent attention. The two hive scum were hushed.

As the half-understood words numbed the minds of all those in the empty street, Haul's brain fizzed;

Lek had been right; the gear on this guy alone would be worth than Roachnest settlement, including the markets. Heck, probably more than the Enforcer’s gear all put together, including their stupid robot dog.

The Astarte's skull pendant glinted.

Haul's fingers itched.

Mind if I don't paint my terminator's arm gold? Not so sure I like the look. I will include gold on it somewhere, but yeah.

Perhaps you can have the option - arm or shoulderplate trim (as per codex look)?

Mmmk, amr or shoulderpad, or you could use a toned down shining gold.

Why are the arms painted instead of the trims?

Wraith
September 29th, 2008, 10:57
Well, I set out to write up some fluff for Brother Wraith, but I seem to have wound up writing a short story instead! Here's the first bit, just to get things started. Comments and criticism welcome as always.

Little is known of Brother Wraith’s early service with the Sons of the Librarium, and stories of his early days are few and far between as the tales of his later rise to service in the vaunted 1st company are often of much greater relevance in the increasingly dire times the Chapter was born into.

He was recruited on the ravaged world of Tenax IV, a moderately industrialized world with the dubious fortune to be located in close proximity to an ancient Necron Tomb World. What would normally be a horrific death sentence for any and all nearby systems has instead proved to be a great boon for the Imperium as a whole, since the Tomb World in question sustained a colossal asteroid impact many millennia ago, wiping out the vast majority of the Necron command nodes in a cataclysm that all but split the world in two.

The remaining Necron Lords are all of the very lowest ranks, tasked with nothing more sinister than basic resource gathering and reconnaissance duties. As a result, the systems closest to this unholy bastion, including the Tenax system, are subject to random and nearly endless raids by small Necron raiding forces rather than the typical, nigh-unstoppable terror of true Necron phalanxes marching to war. The constant presence of these deathless raiders has shaped the very cultures of the neighboring systems into highly militarized societies, in many ways like smaller copies of stalwart Cadia, forever locked into low-level combat simply in order to continue their existence.

Indeed, the constant state of battle makes regiments of Imperial Guard raised from these systems among the most skilled and disciplined in the Imperium, some of them fit to be included in such famed company as the Tallarn Desert Raiders, Mordian Iron Guard, even the Death Korps of Krieg and the legendary Cadian Shock Troops. Military careers begin early on these worlds, with children trained to handle a Lasgun almost as soon as they are capable of wielding one, and youth companies assigned to assist in cleanup duties after most battles – perhaps due to the damage to their command structures, the Necrons in this region do not phase away after suffering grievous losses and as a result the youth companies are sent out to root out any remaining scraps of the Necron forces once the regular regiments are through.

This duty is normally uneventful, consisting mostly of blasting the occasional Scarab or even a few Warriors that may have escaped the battle somewhat intact. Sometimes though, entire squads of Necrons manage to avoid detection until the hapless youth companies stumble across them. Many thousands of promising young troopers have been lost this way, as these ad-hoc companies lack much real fighting strength and are swiftly overwhelmed in the face of even small groups of coherent, battle ready Necrons. Occasionally a nearby unit of regular Guard or PDF forces will be in a position to assist the youngsters, but more often than not the regular forces only arrive in time to finish the fight and collect the corpses.

In very rare cases though, they arrive to find a few weary children amongst the blasted remains of both their own units and the Necrons that they have somehow managed to overcome – these promising youths are often marked for greatness, rising to high command ranks in the Guard, a Naval Commission, or in the case of the truly exceptional few, attracting the attention of the Adeptus Astartes. The boy who would become Brother Wraith was one of them.

CaptainSarathai
September 29th, 2008, 22:13
The small shield at his shoulder weighed heavily on his mind. He had been initiated into the Sons of the Librarium's second company to gaurd the sacred shrines of knowlege that they had scattered across the galaxy. The heraldric shield of his home chapter, The Iron Dragons, had grown battered and faded over the decades of his service. He had no regrets for leaving them, as he had promised to return and to do them great honor in his defense of the Librarium.

At last the chime sounded that he and the other assault marines were to drop out from the back of the soaring Thunderhawk. Drawing his Force Weapon- a gleaming sword- and his gold chased bolt pistol, Sarathai made his final journey to the back of the thunderhawk. He turned to look that the rest of the squad was prepared, and then dove out into nothing.
Wind buffetted him as he screamed towards the surface of the planet, sensors and redoubts telling him how close he was to the ground. Growing red symbols told him that the LZ was 'hot', and the forces of chaos had already overrun the small clearing. With a thought, his force weapon burst to life- blue flames trailing off of it like the tail of great comet.

At the last second, Librarian Sarathai brought his feet below him, and his jump pack fired three time bursts to slow his descent. He still came down hard, planting his feet on the head and shoulders of one of the traitor-bretheren and feeling the satisfying crunch of ceramite and bone as the misguided warrior's skull gave way. Around him, the rest of the assault squad arrived in a flurry of chainswords and bolter rounds. It was a hellish cacophony, and Sarathai relished it. He tore off his helmet and bellowed a challenge, baring the fierce fangs of his chapter, and the ritual tattooing of his once-tribe.

A chaos marine answered him, a chainsword slashing down at Sarathai's throat. The blade was turned away, sending monomolecular teeth sparking through the air, and the traitor was cut down with ease. Another chaos marine twisted, a string of crimson explosions igniting across his chest as Sarathai's pistol roared to action. He was in the thick of it, and his plasma pistolier saved his life, immolating a third chaos devotee who tried to charge him from behind.
Ahead of him, Sarathai noticed the hulking form of a Thousand Son terminator. Balefire flickered in his eyes, and one of Sarathai's comrades was brought shrieking to his knees. Psychic power washed off the terminator in palpable waves, and Sarathai's mind recoiled. He called out the giant beast, and called forth his power to slow time. The two of them were locked in a bubble of the immaterium, everything around them blurred and irrevlevent. Slowly the sorceror brought up his staff and blasted a bolt of pure energy towards Sarathai. In the slowed time, it was easily turned aside by his own prowess, but he failed to notice the twisting cloud in the terminators other hand, and with shocking suddenness, time sped back up to full speed as his own power was cast aside. Sarathai leapt into the air, his jump pack roaring and adding height to the action. The terminator/sorceror followed him, and with a deft flick of the wrist, brought the Librarian crashing into the grey earth of the ashwaste.

The terminator strode towards him, pinning the smaller marine to the ground through sheer force of psychic will. Sarathai knew that he was outmatched. The sorceror towered over him, looking down while his mind crushed Sarathai inches deeper into the dust. Armor began to crack, his eyes began to water, and Sarathai knew that it would be moments before his organs began to fail under the weight being applied to him.
"You should never have come here. I am Ilshoran, sorceror of the WarSeer, and your secrets are ours. Make peace with your false gods, if you can muster the strength to speak," the Sorceror spat contemptuously. Sarathai glared back, and gripped his force blade tighter,
"Yes, I can. And you should learn to be quiet- this is the Librarium"
With that he thrust the blade upwards, its blue-fired edges searing through the waves of force and impaling the Sorceror from jaw to crown. Thick blood bubbled out around the wound, and the terminator slumped in his massive armor.
Sarathai stood and withdrew the blade and cut out the terminators legs, sending him crashing to the ground. Looking around he saw that the fight was finished. He stood up, ignoring the pain of his wounds,
"Alright brothers, it's time to move out"

Well, every legion has their traitors... Maybe they're still hiding in the ranks, yet to reveal their true allegiances. That is, if the spikes and thinly veiled Chaos symbols haven't already done it for them!

Or maybe... depending on how Pickle's fluff works out, the Sons of the Librarium are in fact going to be a chapter gathering and guarding knowledge and records. And who is to say that we wouldn't occasionally need to infiltrate Chaos strongholds to obtain a certain item or tome?

Maybe they just haven't taken all the embellishments off yet... gives you an excuse to have a Chaotic-looking loyalist.

Come on 5th company needs a captain!
Also I spelt Furioso wrong, and thus Pickle has spelt it wrong (my fault, as i requested a specific name). I would appreciate it fixed please (currently Furisio).

At the moment i'm doing up a SM list for 5th company (i'm using the BA list, as that's the only way to get me!) That and their captains are tougher (as we should be, with all those books strapped around us!)

I'm also working on my pre smurf days fluff (as pickle hasn't really posted much on our background, i wouldn't want to make something up for it to clash with pickles, so i'll just finish up this stuff first :) There's a thread in the 40k fluff section, you're all welcome to post your fluff in there, but if you update it or add more, just edit the post and put a nice big notice at the top as to it being updated.

EDIT: I'm also working on a marine, not a dreadnought at the moment (don't have one, and have to little cash to get one soon), but he's representing Spartan pre agro carcophagus.

Does the chapter have any Dreadnought places left??? I would like to sleep all day long, then unleash a burst from my twin linked lascannons and a tirade of missiles!!!!

Failing that, I would like to be a scout sniper Sgt in Shonuff's company, picking off my enemies with a fatal headshot from my trusty old Lee-Enfield .303 with high powered scope........

If both positions are available Pickle, please roll a D6. On a 1-3 I be a dread, on a 4-6 I be a sniper.

Can I be something in the 6th company? It seems pretty empty at the moment. A tactical squad guy, with a plasma gun, tattoos and a chronic inability to talk to women - maybe I shouldn't have called myself distortiondave though...but maybe the 40k world needs a bit 21st century involvement.

I'm still waiting on Pickle to tell us how the chapter does it's recruiting, and how it originated. I want to post up my librarian's history with the chapter, but I don't want to mess up pickle's idea.
I still wouldn't mind having my marine be brought in from his original chapter. He will of course change his scheme to fit with the Sons of LO, but he actually has a good reason to become a member of the chapter, with his own alterior/politicol-motives.

Hey- do our Librarians go full blue? I've seen people paint their librarians to match the chapter, and others paint them in the technical Blue scheme. And I feel the pain on the colors as well- I don't have a single bottle of white paint, and blue is almost unheard of in my collection.

This really should have been just a company of Sons of Librarium. Right now it just seems like everybody has a company to their self.

----edit-----
This way every mod can be a vet or super dude (dread or libby), then when those spots are filled, next up (older members) can take roles like special weapon wielders. From there the average joes can be super human marines. If you go with a regular company, then you have room for tacticals, lots of assault marines, lots of devestators, and you can also call in the armoury.

Can I be a scout? Preferably a sergeant. Something in leadership of younger guys. I think I don't really qualify based on time here, but we seem to be short by quite a number of people. I would be a scout by choice not just some random recruit. I would prefer to fight in the more agile armor and be on long missions behind enemy line. CaptainSarathai
October 10th, 2008, 05:50
Hmm... yes, i'd be happy to write up how the Sons of LO recruit, and something of their modus operandi.

All sounds good, apart from the whole 'Ancient' thing - unless we change the original fluff that pickle posted, that is! :)

All sounds good, apart from the whole 'Ancient' thing - unless we change the original fluff that pickle posted, that is! :)

Might be a solid idea - I'm wrestling with ways to explain 2 things in my own backstory right now...

1) Trying to fit a service record worthy of a Dreadnought into a couple of centuries maximum is not really working out.

And 2) Unless we've been around for a good long while, where did we come up with all these suits of Terminator Armour, Dreadnoughts, and enough men and materiel to outfit ten full fledged Companies???

...Actually, with this whole "donor Marine" bit we've got going on here, I may need to tweak what I've got down already. Hmm... This just keeps getting more interesting.

CaptainSarathai
October 10th, 2008, 20:19
What I hoped to accomplish by using the 'Donor' idea was to make this whole idea more accessible to those who already play marines. For example- I have my own DIY chapter already, and no intention of ever converting/painting/buying another marine army. I'd much rather use my LO marine in my existing chapter, rather than just a display piece. For someone who plays Black Templars, they could have their LO marine wearing the small shoulder shield with a white background and black Cross to tie him in with the rest of their table top army.

There were two methods that I was contemplating. The one that you read was the second idea. The first idea was that the chapter was similar to the Grey Knights or the WitchHunters, and only appeared when they held interest in the battle. I decided though that this could become taxing on the chapter, as they are also protecting several scattered shrines and waging their own wars to retrieve books. Additionally, marines wouldn't rework their heraldry. Not to mention that the whole idea of appearing when needed is more along the lines of the GKs and WHs, who aren't chapters per-se but rather an Ordos. Finally, how WOULD we get dreads and termies and elites so quickly if we weren't pulling them in from other chapters.

This way, Arena of Death characters, and models with a history (like 'Brother Bob') and characters that have already been dreamed up, can be volunteered for service in the Sons of LO. Forum members can keep their identities, and if anyone ever does collect this whole army that we're scheming, it will give an interesting visual hook.

Hmmnnn, I've been around a while, (April 05), not very active anymore, but, I tend to be active in spurts, old time gamer, (I played V2 40K, original Space Hulk and Blood Bowl, the one with the cardboard pieces) and I'm kinda bulky. I'm thinking venerable dreadnought. Likes close combat, (possibly two close combat weapons), likes to pontificate, "Retired" chaplain, maybe. Fell facing the Tyranids of Kraken, (about the time I stopped playing 40K). Had a retinue that was close combat oriented, jump packs etc. Carried a custom Crozius, had a modified grip, could be used two handed, (bastard crozium?). Was very hot tempered, carried over into combat.

"Many are the honors that have been bestowed upon this chapter due to your diligence and bravery as displayed in the persecution of the Scintilla Campaign, and as a result, you have been recommended for advancement within the ranks of the Second Company of the Marines Puritanical.

However, in keeping with the most recent interpretations of the Codex Astartes, our chapter will no longer allow Apothecaries to take on the dual role of both field medic and sergeant of any company squads.

Your intense scholarship in the ways of the Apothecarion has not gone unnoticed. In light of this, and in accordance with the dual recommendation of your Company Master and the Master of the Apothecarion, you have been seconded to the Sons of the Librarium, to serve under Second Company Captain Shonuff in his command squad. May he and his company benefit from your expertise and dedication, as our chapter has in these past three hundred years."

As he waited to board the transport that would take him to his new chapter's Battle Barge, Sentry reviewed the parchment attached to his left pauldron. The text had been copied to a parchment and affixed with a purity seal to his armor, so that he could always remember where he came from. "Knowledge is power," he had often heard the Librarians saying. To him, though, knowledge was life. It was the way in which he could best utilize his talents, and contribute to the cause that he was attached to. His knowledge of the human body and how it adapted to the marine implants had helped him to save several of his battle brothers in many cases where time was of the essence. His mind had the ability to process a situation on visuals alone, allowing him to remain aware of his surroundings as he treated grave injuries and tended to those that could only be granted the Emperor's Mercy.

When the shuttle set down in the Chapter's private spaceport, Sentry walked forward, his armor repaired and reconsecrated after the many years of war he endured in the Calixis Sector. The new color scheme would take a little getting used to, but his white helmet and right shoulder helix were the same as ever. He was proud to be chosen to become a member of the Sons of the Librarium, for their pursuit of knowledge was legendary, even within his own chapter.

As he boarded the ramp of the shuttle, a bell tolled once in the adjoining Chapter Keep. However, this time is was not for a fallen brother, but for him... for he would not return to this world, until called to the Emperor's side for the final battle of all.

Hello there, I would like to petition to join the Sons of the Librarium, and am willing to go where I am needed. Dont know what you would need me for, perhaps as a scout sergeant?

Hey, sorry, what's up with the broze arm that our chapter has picked up? Is it mentioned in the fluff because I can't see it.

I guess I'll join in. I suppose if I had a role... I wouldn't mind being a standard bearer. Don't really care which company. (2nd, or 3rd maybe?)

Edit: Real cool idea though Pickle. I'll have to make a model sometime this coming winter. I can add in epic battles the site has faced like "Server Not Found" toolbars or something. Probably will add some silly, over-the-top Warhammer Fantasy weapon to put in the other arm. Create a dynamic pose and there we go!

xtc-alec - Put you under Terminator squad of 1st Company, as they are only in the 1st COmpany other than Captains.

Drake - It's company colours, these can alternatively go onto the pad trims.

Everyone else has been added.

Gotta little question for "ze Pickleh":

I know that I don't quite have the "time in service" necessary, but if nobody steps up as Devastator Sergeant in 2nd Company, might I do so? Just wondering...

Hey is it possible to be a veteran sergent of a Sternguard Squad for the first company. If not i'll just be a regular Sternguard Marine. :P Brother - Sergent Sorrowsky reporting for duty :)

(Can anyone give me details as to what details must be put into the model if this is still going on)

Pickle

Bestia - You are a Dev Marine of 2nd Company.

All others are added.

psichotykwyrm - Wait a week, then I'll turn it over for anyone.

If possible I'd like to be a part of first company, requisitioned by the Deathwatch. If not, then I GUESS I could settle for just being a terminator in whichever company needs it most.

The cultist's brains sprays across the wall and slid down, coming to rest in a pile on the skidplating. THe body of the cultist fell limp and laid in a pile, minus the head as the big power armored boot crushed down on the body, the ribcage cracking. Captain Augustus Shonuff, Captain 2nd company of the Sons of Libraium looked over the Hive's chamber as his men moved about in tactical precision.

Captain Shonuff watched as Honored battle brother Process moved his dreadnought form to block the doorway. The tactical squads of the 2nd company moved through the chamber, clearing out the remaining chaos cultists. Screams of the demented and doomed echoed through the many storied hall.

"Sergeant Zemaphore, Report." Shonuff spoke into his com link.

"Top two tiers clear sir. Not a cultist lives, breathes or moves." Zemaphore responded through the comlink. Shonuff could hear the chainsaws of Zemaphore's assault squad cleaning up the waste above.

Captain Shonuff watched the far corner of the hall, as Veteran Dreadnought Sithjack stood guard over some of the Fallen 2nd Company. Apothecary Sentrykiller was tending to wounds. A few of the tactical marines were getting to their feet. Kithre and Jikil both saluted and moved to rejoin their squad.

"Sir!" came from behind SHonuff, within the tall ornate gothic doors to his rear. Shonuff turned to see Banner carrier Daelrog escorting 2nd company Librarian Captain Sarathai out of the building.

"How is the Libraium within, Sarathai?" Shonuff asked his trusted Librarian battle brother.

"All items seem intact. THe knowledge within was not destroyed or harmed by the chaos cultists." Sarathai Looked to Shonuff and blinked slowly, almost in a trance. "This hive still holds the taint of chaos, but it is less than when we arrived.

Shonuff nodded and gritted his teeth. He turned to face Veteran Sergeant Herby and was about to give a command before his comlink went off.

"*tzzk! Captain, Come in! This is Sergeant Mindrot, We have incoming!"

Shonuff squinted his eyes and a sneer spread across his face. He opened his comlink to all channels and his powerfist began to hum.

"All units! Converge on Scout squad's location! Prepare to repel invaders!"

+++ FLUFF +++++

Devastator Squad of the second company, stands holding the road to the east of the squad, when the call came in.

"Brothers we need to hold this line" Brother psichotykwyrm stated. Both Bestia and Tutankhankh Nod, setting themselves.

As others Move to help the scouts, the 3 Devastators stand there ground. Covering the rest of the company from being flanked.

Which the Chaos scum attempted. A Defiler strides into site.

"CONTACT" calls Bestia kneeling, aiming his Rocket Luancher himself. " Open Fire" is the order recieved and the squad fights to hold back the mechanical beast.

seargent zane stood before his veteren's, though his head was turned away looking at the the two sun's going down."men we will storm the heretic's base at nightfall! nothing sha'll withstand the emperor's wrath! we kill everyone of them!" his booming voice yelled. zane's men gave loud cheer's and praise's to the emporer.
