Traditional scheme with a twist, any thoughts on it? Having trouble deciding what to do the bases in, the standard blasted black n grey sand+rock combo doesnt really seem like it weould suit. So the question is: How do you like them apples?
My camera is poo so the contrast doesnt exactly show up much, the highlights are all dulled down in the photo, they are reasonably strong in reality. Models been painted several times as itsa a pre-owned figure, does it show much?

Swearing is not allowed on these forums. We try to keep things simple and non-offensive here, so please do not do so again. This includes your signature, if you would be so kind as to change that.

This could have been avoided by reading the *forum rules* (http://www.librarium-online.com/forums/faq.php?faq=faq_rules#faq_rules_3), which you should have had to do when you registered. Please read them again.

Not bad. I suggest using thinner coats of paint. Right now, the paint is thick enough that the overall look is heavy and uneven. Water down the palette and be patient. If you have to use multiple coats in order to achieve the right hue, so be it. In the end you'll have a much more satisfying miniature.

Sorry bout the sig, i didnt realise it was exactly offensive; i will resize the pictures so they can be reposted.

Moving on, i do thin my paints out and use several coats but i buy all my minis second hand and fix them up because its much cheaper :S I guess the old coats of paint form the previous owner do show a bit to make it look thick.

Squirrel_Fish thanx for the post, think i will take the time and effort to remove the original painters coats before i do mine over the top to avoid the heavy look.
