Hello everyone. I just got into 40k a few months ago and have been having a blast painting the figures. Here is a demon prince I added wings to and this is the first time i used the green stuff in modeling. I had bit of a tough time with it. Would appreciate any tips on how it could have been improved. Thanks. :)

Now, I'm not a decent painter myself by any means, but i do have one issue with the model. The glossiness works fine with the flashy bits, but it just doesn't look right on the armour in my opinion, so you may want to lay off the gloss or whatever it is a tad.

Just my 5 cents,

very nice the red to black transition on the knee pad is awsome, and for a begginer with GS you've pulled it off really well, though I do agree with Tyrannis about the glossyness and I recommened using the new washes rather than the old inks(thats if your using inks)because it doesn't go all shiny.

still, a very good model :act-up:

I used a gloss varnish to finish him, the photo makes him look way more glossy then he really is. He looks more subdued normally, but i was thinking of maybe spraying on a matte finish.

Problem always comes up with cameras and gloss varnish, but from what I can see its very good for someone who's only been playing/painting for 4 months. Said before but the green stuff is very neat and clean.

well done :soldier:
