I'm trying to get my wife into 40k and she showed some interest in Tyranids. I remember reading somewhere about a Ladybug Tyranid army at a G.T. I've looked around but cant find any pics of them. So if anyone has those pics or any Pink or purple (her favorite colors) color schemes that I could show her would help.

I tried looking for Ladybug Tyranids in probably the places you have already looked, and I came up with these Zoanthropes by Gareth:

If you were to replace the yellow on the carapace with red it would look very much like ladybugs, at least I think so.

Anyone notice the amount of new tyranid players appearing recently...? The hivemind is growing strong... Purple tyranids will be good to see, as purple is the greatest colour ever. Strangely enough I don't think I've seen the army in which you are referring to... I shall have a scout around see if I can find them.

The reason that the hive is growing is due to it's PURE AWESOME power of bringing people in. Also, because of the prices. I think that people like the fact that you get more for your buck and that on the battlefield they can be very hard to kill.

Anyways, for purple/pink tyranids you can just pick up the colors and experiment with carapace/skin colors till your wife is happy with it. Painting Tyranids is quite easy, so she should have fun with it and have an army that looks good even if she isn't an amazing painter.
