Help! I just ordered both the Ork and Space Marine codices, and I don't even PLAN on making any of those armies any time in the next year! What's happening? I'm being sucked into the game worse!

Its only the beginning... soon you will be picking the red car because it's faster or praying to the machine spirit that your cell phone gets good reception...

I already have an IG army, and have pretty much produced a Tyranid army, and I've even started working on my Grey Knights! I don't need orks or space marines! Nuuuuuuuuuu....

Wasn't it swn tzu who said that to succeed in a hundred battles you must know both yourself and your opponent, just look at it that way ^_^

It’s not like a crack addiction tho, I mean drug addicts get support and
people feeling sorry for them. They get people to blame society for their habits and people give the government stick because there are not enough rehab centers and funding to get people off drugs.

But being addicted to warhammer…..that’s just a world of pain, first your family will pretend you no longer exist as you stop being interested in the real world and you start telling your mom that you want be a dreadnought when you die and you start screaming to your dad that he has to stop watching football and help you paint your toy soldiers. Then as you plough more money into miniatures you will have to stop buying soap and toothpaste which won’t help you with making new friends and the friends you have now will drift away never to be heard from again as they mutter something about you starting to act crazy and your strange affection from grey plastic. Soon you will have to eat food out of dustbins because the secondwave of Ork stuff is being released and you just have to have it no matter what even if that means you have to 'do stuff' to guys in dark back allys.

Sorry dude but being a warhammer addict is a slow slide into loneliness and self depravation.

Thank god for L.O!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo................. ................
I don't want to be That Guy!
Nuuu....

Ah well. At least I don't live in my parent's basement. I can avoid that much stereotype!

Naw, in all seriousness, I've become very interested in the other armies. I just want a couple models of each (heh, thats how it starts) maybe someday, but I don't want to get in over my head with them. I've decided that I'm allowed a total of 4 armies, across all mini gaming systems, period. Though my Daemonhunters don't count. Maybe someday, I can move on, but I've got to have will....
right?
Right?!

I find the best way to stall yourself is to force yourself to paint (to the best of your ability) all models you have before purchasing any new ones.

I generally don't follow this though.. As my purchases are spaced widely.

That said I have a fair whack of models that need assembly and painting, and I have several armies who mostly sit around taking up space.

Also I'm praying to the dice god for good rolls... and to Sun Tzu to appear next to me to teach me the Art of War! :soldier:

I buy stuff because I love reading the fluff. Warmachine does a great job of that too. I own all of the rulebooks because the writing and art inside is just supurb

You dont have to plan armies though use them to know your opponents armies inside out.
I bought the Marine codex last week and will never collect marines. (I sold my soul to the Dark Gods years ago) If I ever do collect another army it will be the opposite modelling and painting style wise to marines of either sort. But ive been getting my hands on as many codexes as possible lately just to read up on them.

I know what ya mean Zee, I'm always looking at things I want to add to my current army, or new 40K or WFB armies I want to get (halfway through nids and wanting to play VC now too...) it's a curse of the hobby.

I get tempted too easily. I've collected 15 armies in total, mainly just a battleforce and a codex but now I only have five armies. The models are in the bin, or on bases. I'm so wastefull:dance:
