I just see so many posts on the WE forums, and alot of the fantasy topics are WE involved or inspired--- personally where I play almost half the people play WE

so why does everyone play the WE?

the best models if you like treehugging hippies !--- im not seeing best models though, its obviousl the HE have the best dragon, all kinds have awesome and well done basic troops, all kinds have well done heroes; we arent particularly better than the rest unless you just like that style.

Well, I know we have at least 2 WE over here, but we have at least 3 TK, so... no. Not here, at least.

Warhammer acutally is pretty balanced as far as who plays what. In my local store we have 1 tomb kings (me) 2x orcs and goblins, 1x empire, 1x lizardmen, 1x vampire counts, 1x orge kingons, and 1x bretonnia. The system really has a lot of variety so depending what you like you can play anything. My friend just started dark elves and I am thinking of doing high elves. Warhammer is a very open system. Unlike 40k it also has a lot of variety, 40k tends to focus around space marines as most people like the idea of humanity in powered armor.

i don't know if it's the most allround played army, it is however the most popular army amongst females, anyone else ever notice that?

There's been another thread around here recently asking what the most popular WHFB army is, and the general consensus is that there isn't one. Of course in areas and in gaming groups one or two armies might be more common, but in general across the entire WHFB player base, most armies tend to have fairly equal numbers of players.

Unless you are a Chaos Dwarf-player that is. ;)

I haven't seen a WE player in about 4 years, when me and some kid were playing them. So no, I don't believe they are. Though I do consider them the Tau of Fantasy, kids seem drawn to them for a reason unknown to me.

Also DMC I love the banner man!

Well in my club i think we don't actually have a WE player (one person is getting them as i type, but its a long shot from being finished). I would have thought that lizardmen were the natural progression from tau (little kids like robot shooty run away suits of death, little kids like dinosaurs....i play both, what does that say about me.?...) although WE do have a similar playing style i think to tau, mobility and mobile shootyness.
