TheSlayer July 14th, 2003, 07:41 I like them EXCEPT that if a vehicle is destroyed, any unit that surives it is autopinned... other then that I like the rest of the rules. Suns July 17th, 2003, 02:34 Interesting rules, they did a good job I think. Some more interesting stuff was added. The only thing I don't like is that they removed guess. Although I havn't read the rules, I'd say that makes perfect sense. If you were in a vehicle that was just annihilated, you'd need to take a while to find everyone from within the wreckage, your guns, and get your wits back Suns July 17th, 2003, 04:08 Originally posted by Onion@Jul 16 2003, 19:22 I'd say that makes perfect sense. If you were in a vehicle that was just annihilated, you'd need to take a while to find everyone from within the wreckage, your guns, and get your wits back I agree. Heck, you want to make sure you got a weapon in hand and your buddies are intact. This kind of adds more realism to it. BorninDarkness July 17th, 2003, 13:01 I hope they're gonna do some serious reworking on the Land Raider and it's variants, especially the Crusader is just a huge points sink now. And I preferred guessing the range myself  . Sunflash July 17th, 2003, 16:44 HE HE  I can move and fire my vindicator now. BWAWAWAWAWA. Most of the rules aren't half bad. I think the controlled landing for the lanspeeder is a good rule. No more losing a speeder because of a cheap immpolized result. Suns July 17th, 2003, 16:51 Get a Leman Russ Exterminator. He he he. Can move 6 and fire all it's weapons. But if the rumors are true, GW got rid of it in the new IG codex. BorninDarkness July 17th, 2003, 21:47 Originally posted by Sunflash @ Jul 17 2003@ 16:44 I can move and fire my vindicator now. That was actually one of the first things I noticed too :D . Suns, I think they said that if you also have the old codex you could still use Griffons and Exterminators. So if you currently play IG you have no problems (if this is true) :) . ShaselMudd July 18th, 2003, 05:59 We have tried out these new rules and they are kinda cool. They work well for my Tau and for the space marines it was equally interesting. I like alot of the changes like the str 5 and under for defensive fire rules which I think really give good reason for those side sponsons. Thats just me though. |
