Basically what the title says, is it worth spending £36 or around $53 US for 3 Minotaurs in 2000 points? I'm going to be playing regularly at the local GW in the summer after my exams and want to have my Nurgle BoC army running by then. Thanks.

The way you phrase your question, doesnt make it so cut and dry. In a 2000 pt game, I tend to run more than 3 in my list. As for the cost, personally, that's your call. There are somethings I would pay the GW price for and not for others. But i always search online for better deals first.

New plastic Minos should be out soon (Although knowing GW they'll price them as much as the current metal ones :S).

I'd expect a box set of 4 plastic minos with lots of optional bits (to bump the price lol) but atleast they should look awesome, far better than the current 10 year old rubbish things they have lol.

Economically, probably not.

From a battle field perspective......I personally thought Chaos Trolls are more effective then Minotaurs, as I generally never had a lot of problems come from Minotaurs much unless they are part of a Warrior or Demon army. Chaos Trolls are a problem though. Maybe it is because as either Empire or Skaven, if I know that Minotaurs are in the mix, it is easy to have a good army ready for them.

I usually always have one unit of 3. I never give them a standard or upgrade to champ. They are good. Not game breaking but they are good, and worth having in your army.

If you're asking about the price... I agree that we'll be getting some new plastics when they release the updated book, and I would wait. Check on ebay for deals.

I think it's safe to say all BoC players can't wait to have our book upgraded, and new models released.

personally i love my mino's i never run a list without them, but then ive ony got three off them cause they are a bit pricy at the moment so i dont think ill get any more until they release plastics, if they do, then ill probably get a lot off them :)
