super heavies and flyers

a friend asked me the other day. how many point do you need to play to use war machines and flyers. i think it was 1500pts for flyers and 2000 pts for war machines. does anyone know for sure.

If your going by today's rules then 3K for both, as that's apoc level. If you want to use the older forgeworld rules (particularly for fliers) then I think its 2K for any other army while the elysians can access it as heavy choice at any level. And for super heavies its over 2K, 2K for the army list and then a separate detachment of super heavies

I thought the old Imperial Armour rules were just "you can field one super-heavy detachment for each standard detachment" - It didn't actually have any rules about amount of points. I'd say if you're taking something over 500 points, only do it in 3000+ points games, otherwise only in 2k+ points, but that's just a rough thing I have.
