I picked up a dwarf model from another game (not sure what game tho...), and it is a good head taller than all my dwarfs. So i was making him into a special character.

Grungni is what popped into my head. On teh dwarf history section The Golden Age (i think) is states in the first paragraph that Grungni dissapeared until he is needed (not sure exact words book is not in front of me will edit later)

Im going to make him roughly the same stat lines as a lord but a little better and want to have some rules for him that can let him stand up to teh games most powerful units and characters.

a couple rules i thought of were...

unit he joins is stubborn, if unit is already stubborn they become unbreakable.

if he is killed in battle the unit he was in AUTO BREAKS and must flee. 2d6


not quite sure on weapons or armor yet though they will be great.

i will post on this later and/or edit

if anyone has good ideas i would love to hear them

I may just be getting some vague memories confused, but isnt Grungni The White Dwarf?

Anyway, special Character creation. I like the ideas you have currently.

Maybe modify the "death" to if he is ever killed then the unit he was in must immediately take a Ld test (and at the start of each dwarf turn for the rest of the game). if they fail they must flee immediately (interrupting whatever else is going on, combat etc) and may not attempt to rally. If fleeing from combat the enemy may attempt to pursue.

Anyway, something along those lines maybe? (dont mean to dictate him for you lol).

Hes gotta have some kind of sweet armour and a weapon :) Take inspiration from current runes.

need more ideas people.

i was also thinking of doing Grimnir even though he was supposedly killed.

but i want to make armor and weapon sets for each

one that gives bonuses when fighting anything tainted by chaos

and something that is good against undead
