I have a friendly game coming up against a infantry heavy Lizardmen army.
- 30 Saurus Warriors (Spears) 2x units
- 20 Saurus Cold One Riders 2x units
- Ancient Stegadon (Engine of the gods)
- Skink Priest
No skinks, but plenty of hard hitting units and a fair amount of magic.
I've come up with a counter list, but I am on the fence on whether I should take more magic defence, more infantry, or another great cannon. Please help! :handshake:
Heroes:
Captain: 1 Model /Lance /Full Plate Armor /Sheild /Barded Warhorse /Holy Relic
(Warrior Priest: 1 Model / Second Warhammer /Armour Of Meteoric Iron)
Or
(Battle Wizard: 1 Model /Level 2 /Dispel Scroll x1) EDIT: I'm thinking lore of light (Dazzling Brightness+Guardian light)
Core:
Swordsmen: 25 models /Standard Bearer
Handgunner Detachment: 10 Models
Halberdier Detachment: 5 Models
Flagellant Warband: 10 Models
Special:
Knightly Order: 6 Models /Musician /Inner Circle
Knightly Order: 5 Models /Musician /Inner Circle
Great Cannon: 1 Model
(Great Cannon: 1 Model)
or
Rare:
(Flagellant Warband: 10 Models)
Stratagy:
Fire Great Cannon at Stegadon until it dies
Hold of Saurus Spearmen with My Swordsmen block
Take out Saurus cavalry with my Knights
Hit Saurus Spearmen at the flanks with my Knights
Win
Will I be able to take out the Stegadon quick enough with only one cannon?
Or should I bring a mage to hold off his magic phase, then proceed to dominate it after the stegadon goes down.
Or if I am totally off with this list any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
