Hello empire players,

I am normally in the TK section, but today I have a question regarding 6th edition Empire models. I would love to start a new army, but starting a new army is way out of my budget this year. Instead, I figured I would just expand on an army which I already have. Anyways, I already have 6th edition models of 20 spearmen, 16 handgunners, 1 cannon, and 8 knights. I know the cannon and the knights models have not changed from 6th to 7th, but I could be mistaken. My question is, do people mind (players, tournaments ect) mind If I use older Empire Models. I just hope I do not need the latest models if I someday want to play in a tournament. I find this to be a good start For an empire army, and if I could use these models it would reduce my cost of fielding an empire army (which is nice lol). Also do alot of players use models from each edition, or strictly 7th edition? Thanks everyone for their reply!

They'd probably prefer it since the older models look better.

My question is, why do you care what other people think about your models? THis is your hobby, you're the one who should be enjoying it.

in my experience, a decent, well-thoughout paint scheme is better at making a model than anything. People actually like to see different models than the 'norm' and anything is better than bare metal or primed minis.

There is no rule, anywhere, that says you SHOULD have the most recent models! Hell, if that where true i couldn't field metal greatswords the day after the plastics where released.\

Don't worry a single procent about older models, use 'em, love 'em and have older players come up to you and congratulate you on using the OOP stuff.

I have loads of older empire stuff myself.
