Hello all, I'm here to announce a 40k 2v2 2500pt doubles tournament on September 5th at the Glen Burnie Battle Bunker, sponsored by the Inner Circle Gaming Club.

There will be 3 rounds, starting at about 10 : 00 AM. Each player brings 1250 points and keeps the same partner each round (you can choose your own). The catch is you basically share the same Force Organization Chart: each player brings 1HQ and 2 Troops minimum. You may then add up to 2 Troops, and then 0-1 Elite/FA/HS. As a team you also have access to one more Elite, Fast Attack, & Heavy Support choice.

There will also be a painting competition, and conversion contest for those who wish to enter. Just notify the store ahead of time what your entry will be. You may prepare your entry ahead of time. You do not have to paint/convert during the competition in case you want to play instead.

Entry fee for the tournament will be $5 per person. Burgers, hot dogs and ice cream will be available for a reasonable price. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day.

We are looking to have 20 tables for the event, which comes to 40 teams and 80 players, so come check it out!

For more information consult our website: Inner Circle Gaming Club (http://www.innercirclegamingclub.com)
or call the store at 410-590-8675

I hear Gorfang's Orks/IG combo is the army to beat. Mad props to anyone who forgoes anti-MEQ to screw him over.

Anybody else have a 9 valkyrie army besides me? We could field 18 of them and have a field day with multilasers and pieplates ...

Read above about the tournament rules. Can't fit 18 valkyries into a FOC :(

I didn't make these rules, I only enforce them.

The Timpossible is always laden with shenanigans. Still, sounds like a fun tournament! Wish I was in the area.

Rules
Each player makes a 1250 list in accordance with the following force org:.

1 HQ Except for the space wolfs special rule. (No duplicate named characters, so make sure to coordinate with your partner - no character may be taken twice!)
2-4 Troops (min 2 troops)
0-1 Elite (+1 Floater)
0-1 Fast (+1 Floater)
0-1 Heavy (+1 Floater)

You and your partner need to get together and talk about who is going to take the extra slots.

The idea behind this tournament is 2 army’s can’t commit all their forces to this battle so you must work with another general to get the job done. That being said...

Your transports can only transport your models even if your partner is playing the same army. All benefits from characters, banners, items, etc.. ONLY benefit your individual army (no exceptions). Were not looking for the two players that can cheese out an event the best, this game is for funzzyz and will be treated as such. Ladies and gentleman, and I say that very loosely, the list can go on and on with the broken and destructive things you can do. Out side of amazing tactics we can’t let it happen. If you and your partner are playing the same army that is fine the only stipulation is that you can’t take the same named character. Other than these details the tournament is just like any other tournament, random scenarios, random players. Come roll dice and kill everything you see! I know some of you will still have questions about what you can and can’t do; just post them or email tournaments@inncercirclegamingclub.com and we'll be happy to answer them.

What you will need:

*Bring a copy of you list, if you don’t have this you don’t play.

*Dice, tape, templates and a tray to carry your army on.

*Bring 5 dollars for the entry fee and money for food.

*If you quote a FAQ you must provide a copy of the FAQ.

*Please don’t forget yourself or your partner.

Prizes
1st place
2nd place
Best painted (Players choice)

There is also a painting and conversion contest going on the same day. The rules are really easy. You have till the day of the event to covert a model and to paint one. They do not have to be the same model. You may only enter 1 model in each category. Any model any size is allowed. Judging for this event will be done by golden daemon painters. You must be on the list to participate in this event. No signing up for this the day of the tournament.

There will be a prize for best painted and best converted.

How we are going to score the event:

Win is 15 points
Loss is 5 points
Draw is 7 points

2nd mission objective is worth 4 points
3rd mission objective is worth 2 points

There is no sportsmanship score or composition score

We are going to have people list there favorite opponent to play against.

1st 9 points
2nd 6 points
3rd 3 points

That's it. See you there!

Mad rep for anyone who crushes Gorfang in Baltimore. I don't want to hear him brag about how boring his orks have become.
