Hey guys, I noticed a dusty old blister of 2 of these guys at my LGS. I googled and noticed that they were used in the slayer army, are they OOP then? Just wondering if I should grab them for future trades.

I do believe that these are now OOP. As you say they were for the slayer list that became neutered when GW announced that the SOC lists will not be legal any longer. It might be good to grab them, or even convert them into slayer heroes - or have house rules for them.

does this mean that the grudge thrower is no longer legal to use also? i was going to order one as they may be the most impressive looking thing we have!

As he says, anything that was legal with the SOC list is now pretty much unusable. Unless your opponent agrees to allow you to use the rules, of course.
