If you're starting with the WH codex then you cant use the Dreadnaught.
If you're starting with the DH codex then you need two DH troop choices first.
I really think that DH termies don't cut it.
You could have two whole squads of SoB in Rhinos all decked for the same price.
Also put Eviscerators wherever you can. They kill everything.

i was told, that as long as you had the base slots filled (1HQ 2 troops), then you can fill the other FO slots with units from either Codex, is that not right?

If you're starting with the WH codex then you cant use the Dreadnaught.Nor the assassin - only one elite can be brought over. You'll have to switch to a WH inquisitor.

why does what type of =][= i take matter? Next to the OaO's profile it states that in order to take an OaO An Inquisitor or Inquisitor Lord must be included in the force, it doesnt specify whether that Inquisitor has to be Malleus or Hereticus

answered in the FAQ.. you take an assassin from the same book as the inquisitor is from, wh and dh codices are a total mess until you get used to them

But i'm not sure why you would care - your DH inquisitor isn't geared up with anything exotic from the armoury - you could probably afford a few crusaders on a lightly geared WH inq for the same price.

but the DH inquisitor looks better imo
