Assassins & Challenges

Hi Guys, I know assassins are no longer in the character section, but are they like unit champions for challenge purposes?

Im not sure if you can count him in the same catagory as the unit champ, but my understanding is that he is treated as a charcter without taking up any slots on the force chart. This means he can take challanges, leave units and run around on his own, and preaty much do everything your normal charcters can.
