View Full Version : Question What would you pay for LO dice?

What's the most you would pay for a set of 16 dice that are 16mm with the LO logo on them? This includes shipping.

Mind you, LO will not be making any profit on this.

Currency exchange rates will, of course, change.

i'm pretty sure my original post in the dice voting thread i said i would definitely buy them assuming $15 including S&H with my max being $20

therefore, that's what i've voted

i was also assuming they were 12mm so the price seems even more acceptable

do we have any information on the quality of the dice? not that it matters much but it would be nice if they're precise enough to play with and not just have for "show" (forgive me, i've recently purchased some gamescience dice)

I said $20 for two reasons:

1) It includes shipping. I wouldn't pay over $15 or so for a set of dice, but shipping (depending on where it's being shipped from, of course) will definitely add a decent amount to the price, to the point where setting a $15 maximum is pushing it in my eyes.

2) $25 is the price for some of the newer GW boxed sets, and I wouldn't want to put dice over models, simple as that. $20 keeps it below the price of anything other than a blister (which I tend not to buy anyway, as the plastics/boxed sets are far better value), so I don't have any qualms paying that much.

Cheers.

See my first post. 16mm. :)

The logo won't work on 12, and the difference would only be something like 9 cents difference per die.

As stated in earlier votings. LO has been invaluable to me in my gaming career and if paying 25 bucks to show my support and thanks is the way to go then so be it. I'd pay 30!! Thanks to the LO staff and volunteers that make this the place to hone my skill in my hobby.

Seeing as I'm basically a dice addict (I think I could legitimately play a full game without rolling any die in my collection more than once!!), you've got me signed up for some unless you start charging some kinda ludicrous, insane price.

I think I'd be fine with paying the $25 US (comes to a bit under $30 AUD for those who may be interested...)

Sure it's probably a bit extravagant for a set of dice, but they will be a somewhat unique set!

As it includes postage, I'll go up to the £15 one. I'd probably buy them however much they cost, within reason.

I would pay $25 but we have democracy at home, so better to keep it cheaper... voted for $20.

The dice set worth the higher price just because it is a set of LO dice!

I don't mind paying more than normal to show my love of LO. Of course I'd prefer it if they were cheaper, but I'd be willing to pay the higher price.

if artillery/scatter dice were included i'd go up to 25 in a heartbeat

I voted $20 for the same reason that Lost Nemesis stated, even considering that they are awesome LO dice, I would rather take 25 dollars and buy a box of skinks or something that I need for my list.

No scatter/target dice? :(

Either way i'd probably pay whatever is needed. if it's $25, so be it.

I'm inquiring about scatter/artillery dice.

Id buy em in a heartbeat for $20. My question is the coloring of the dice. Would they be blue with the logo, or would you be able to pick your own color ect?

I think $20 seems a good price, would shipping be available to UK?

So it looks like the poll is telling me that I voted for $25, so I just wanted to clear that up and say that I intended on voting for $20. So do a -1/+1 calculation in your head for me.

D'oh.

Without scatter dice: $20 USD
With scatter dice: $25 USD

For me I think $20/£12 is enough. I bought 50 dice for £5 on eBay the other day, so I would be willing to go over that for LO dice, but not to £15.

I'd like to know how they end up looking though!

I voted $20, but I'd go $25 for scatter/artillery.

So, how is the negotiations coming?

DavidWC09

The dice would have cost more than people were willing to pay. The company did not want to do artillery / scatter dice because of copyright.

Unfortunate but the idea is kaput.
