Im trying to make an all purpose army from experience my destructors excel against most armies, and i like to use my horrorfexes to keep the enemy still, whilst my troops rapidfire, im using small wych squads to split enemy fire, since wyches tend to be the first target choice and i noticed most of their combat efficiency tends to be in their succubi, my archon will usually run with one of the troops choices. I'm using hellmasks for independent character solo runs, its fun and annoys any opposing player with extra ld tests but i'm thinking a nightshield for that third ravager would be a better investment. My overall strategy is to knock off most vehicles and thin large units and then raider rush a flank or just picking off the remaining units, but im hoping the army will be flexible enough to change strategies depending on the opposing player. Also, has anyone run an arch angel of pain? just wondering if they're effective.

about hell masks: they're IC only in this edition according to the 5th edition FAQ, don't forget what that implies.

Elites are fine, even though I don't like horrorfexes as much as you do. I just know from experience that they excellent against some armies, and completely useless against others. I don't care about freezing enemy units I only care about killing them XD.

Heavy support is the commong DE ravager formation most of us use, very effetive only little change we sometimes make: nightshields. They're long range and the NS helps sometimes.

I would give the lord 5 incubi and a raider, but it's a personal choice, he'll be fine in a wych squad, but he's more effective with some incubi.

Heamys are a fine choice, I would just drop the masks, you won't need them, they'll also be perfect in your wych squads, destructor before the cc is always fun to do and he's far from being bad in cc either.

main problem I see is here:

Raider squad
raider
horrorfex
9 warriors
blaster
splinter cannon
sybarite upgrd
agoniser
trophy rack

first off like you'll notice in other topics, I'm against syabrites in most cases, but I have good reasons.
Raiders squads should remain in thier raider to avoid pointless casualties, Dark Eldar warriors excell at shooting, not at cc with their low save.
Sybarite is expensive and he won't save you against cc specilists. Just think: terminators moving into your warriors, do you really think the sybarite will save the warriors from losing the cc? Don't even need termies, just an orc boyz squad will inflict heavy damage on the squad because many warriors (possibly even the sybarite) will fail their saves.
You've already got enough cc squads, these will take care of the cc, use your raider squads just for shooting, just like you ravagers.
The trophy rack is really pointless here, don't forget that to get the bonus you'll HAVE to get into cc and you'll suffer losses in any cc,possibly even lose your squad in a cc.
even if your cc goes well you'll still have suffered loses.
Worst thing to happen to a raider squad is getting shot down.
If it happens before the squad went into cc it's pretty ok, but they'll have less numbers since some warriors always die in the crash and the squad will be even worse in cc than it originally as. If the raider is shot down after the squad has fought in cc their numbers will become dramatic. Any cc wil make you lose warriors, the crash will take even mroe warriors, so in this second case your squad will mostlikely be destroyed fast.

Once you drop the syabrites you'll have space for a lot of cool skimmer upgrades, even for some incubi and extra raider.

Second advice about your troops: take at least 2 raider squads with dark lances, you're missing some anti tank. many players take 6 raider squads with DL, this works very well actually, long range and very mobile is a lethal combination. Once enemies get too close you start using blasters and splinter riffles. In this case it would be good too, you already got wyches + destructor, that's just perfect against most infantry.

It's not bad to combine shredder with splinter cannon, this truly is an infantry killer combi

AoP is still effective. Only against certain armies just like the hfex, but the ability to hit multiple units and get an auto-modifier to Ld is quite nice. If your plan is to keep the army pinned a lot, I'd say keep it for that extra chance to do so.

All you characters with hell masks are ICs, so I don't see any problem there. They are cheap and really effective on the rare times when they work.

I do find the xenospasm to be overpriced. If it were S4, it would be very nice, but you're paying twice the price as a SM orb of antioch for something that isn't nearly as powerful.

Is the Archon fighting on his own or joined to a squad. If he's joining, you could save the points on one of your TRs. If he's alone, well, I'd consider at least giving him a retinue of 5 Warriors and two Incubi plus another Raider for them if you've got it.

You can cut the Raider squads down to 8 Warriors with little-to-no effect on their resilience and firepower (it's the special weapons that do most of the damage). I'll agree with kharandil that a couple shredders would be nice if you are going to be rapid firing a bunch of pinned squads.
