Morghur's Sprit Essence of Chaos Spawn Creation Question

Hey, I'm just starting this hobby, my friends had got me interested, and I'm going with the beasts of chaos, i had a question about the spawn created by the essence of chaos. are they just generic spawn, or can i have them have mark of chaos? that's basically it. thanks.

They're basic spawn.

The key thing to remember with warhammer is that you only get an upgrade/weapon etc. if it specifically says you do.

just real quick, if you want to make your opponents very upset, get this dude and a bunch of chaos hounds and just start converting as many dogs as you can into spawns, lol a 55 pt spawn is WAY better than 5 hounds, very dirty trick here.

that's if morghur stays put and in a helpful direction and your hounds don't flee after being shot and cause the other ones to run...I had sad game where I tried this and broke about half my army... I had a sad
