How would you model vets with shotguns?

Take what you use as vets, cut the hands off, cut the arms off scout shotgunners, glue them together, and voila!

1) Take a lasgun.
2) Cut off the end part of the barrell, the thicker part that ends in an angle leaving only a little stub protruding from the body of the gun.
3) Cut the bolt magazine off a bolter or bolt pistol, and cut the lasgun battery off of your soon to be shotgun,
4) Glue the bolter magazine where the lasgun battery pack was.
Congrats your guardsmman now has an automatic shotgun.

And not to mention cutting /filing off the armored hand plates.

If you don't want to model shotguns forgeworld do some very nice ones. They're a little expensive, but make your men look really good.

Got any pictures of these?
Here is a tutorial I found, I have done all my shotguns like this
The Manufactorum: Easy Imperial Guard weapon conversions (http://techpriest.blogspot.com/2009/03/easy-imperial-guard-weapon-conversions.html)
Also using the end of a flamer barrel turned upside down looks pretty awesom
DakkaDakka - Gallery - RR Shotgun - Cadians, Imperial Guard, Rough Riders (http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/18064-RR%20Shotgun.html)
The only problem I had with doing my shotguns was not having enough left arms with hands attached

Those conversion tutorials are pretty cool RhYn0. I might use a few of them myself.

I was gunna do the same thing...
Clip the barrel....
Clip the Cell and just paint the spot were his hand would to go, brown..
Maybe drill the barrel out for effect.....
Modeling can be fun AND cheap....just think on it.
