Hi,
the paint work is very precise, and overall look is very good.
as a possible improvement you could consider working on more contrast between shadows and highlights. MY mpression right now is that you just gave the base coat a wash of black and repainted the edges in red.
the metallics would benefit from the same kind of work too.

Yea, its a conclusion I've been slowly coming too. I painted the armour red, then highlighted up having done a flesh wash. Then did a glaze of brown ink/flesh mix. That toned it right down. I do like that look as it is more 'real' than the high contrast work of many (which does look great if unrealistic) but I think the reds do look a little flat in places.

Keep it up! These are looking great! Just a couple of things though.

I'm not sure about Gideons hair colour. It seems to merge with his face a bit. Maybe a light brown would be better than blonde?

I noticed you haven't painted each marines personal heralry on his right shoulder pad. Any particular reason for this?

Thanks. I see what you mean but I do like the hair colour.

Heraldry! Arse. I haven't seen any imagery of the shoulder pads so been painting them standard BA colours. I haven't seen the box or any of the books in it. Oh well too late now. ;-(
