I have recently started playing black templars and i was wondering what is the best combination of weapons. By this i mean how many chainswords and pistols and how many bolters.

I don't play templars, but I voted for just pistols/swords. To me, it doesn't make sense to mike weapons in a squad. I understand having some crusader squads with all bolters, and others all swords and pistols. However, what do you get from having 7 sword/pistol Initiates and 3 bolter Initiates in the same squad? You can stand and fire three extra shots, but you can't charge, and in combat you get three less CC attacks.
The exception to this rule is if you take the "Accept any Challenge, No Matter the Odds" vow, and everyone does, you can use a single Initiate with a bolter to rapid fire thus keeping you from being forced into charging. I guess that could be useful if you're sitting on an objective or something.

I'd say pistols and swords for the most part, unless it's in a squad with a heavy weapon or you want to try and play wound allocation games.

strictly BP + CCW
I intentionally take accept any challenge so why would I want to be out of CC?
Also it's difficult to form a firebase when everytime someone dies they move closer to the enemy

I have 5000 bt army an i think that the best variant for the beginner is to have 2 10 man crusader squad with power fist and melta and the same squad with emperors champion flamer and power weapon

5 years of doing BT makes pistol and chainsword a must ^^. plus a powerfist is a necessity not an option ^^.
thanks
