Bought a land speeder off another gamer the other day, and it has this really nifty joiner that has a sort of socket-like cuplink attatchment. Anyone know what it is I'm talking about? Where to get it? Thanks in advance,

Sincerely,
Aaron

If it out of clear plastic then its for the flying base. The idea is to have the ball and socket join fiex to the flying base then you can rest the speeder on the socket join and angle it so it looks like the speeder is doing funky moves instead of just flying nice and steady.

Unless you plan to fix the flying stand to the speeder I wouldn't reccomend using it, it makes it so much harder to balance the speeder on the flying stand and has a habbit of snapping of at the base of the ball. You can achive the same effcet by making a scenic base and pinning the speeder to a building/tree/rock on a cool angle.

no I want it stuck on there. It makes it easier to move and transport, plus less likely to break on me. I can easily take the ball out of the socket on the one that I got, and really want another for the other one. Where would I procure one?

Not too sure how you would get more. You might want to have a look on the GW site in the bases section but I don't think they have them. Also try on a bitz site but again I doubt you'll be able to find one. I don't even think they are supplied on Speeders and flyers anymore.

Sadly, it appears GW dropped the balljoint mount in favour of a simple peg into hole arrangement. All of my older Speeders had the joint, and my newer ones simply do not.

Maybe try something like (http://hlj.com/product/YLSPPC-25) these? (http://hlj.com/product/YLSPPC-T01) It might require some custom mounting, but they're your best bet, IMHO.
