My friend and i are doing a 1000 pt each team tourny and im trying to make a list that would complement a wych cult with three squads of wyches an archite 3 raiders and 2 ravagers with dls.

I was thinking something like this to draw fire from his raiders, but any other list ideas are greatly appreciated.

HQ
librarian
flamer power, and gate

troops
10 tacts melta gun ml pf rhino
5 tacts rhino

elties
3 mm dreads

heavy
3 ac hb preds

I see what you're going for here. I don't think the dreds will cut it, they'll die fast and aren't mobile enough. Your ally is a fast moving CC specialist. Ideally to compliment him you want to be just as fast.

Unfortunately, that's not an option. Try something like;

Librarian
Flamer
Gate

10 x tac marines
missile launcher + flamer
Serg /w PF
Razorback

10 x tac marines
missile launcher + flamer
Serg /w PF
Razorback

2 x landspeeder
2 x HB each

3 x Pred
AC HB sponsons

You've now got 7 vehicles. This will help put stress on your opponents anti armour weaponry. They can only kill so much

Split the marines so the ML sits at the back on objectives while the 5 + flamer and PF head forward. Assisted by your lib.

If you feel you will be facing more vehicles, you may want to alter the landspeeders to have anti vehicle. As it stands that list is at 945 points.

Ultimately, with lances for heavy vehicles you should be able to pop anything <13 quite easily.

Hope that helps.

I disagree with glavas i think speeders would be a waste, and that some fire power and tough troops best helps.

I would do the following.

Librarian: 105 points
- avenger, gate, meltabombs

10 marines: 205 points (2 units)
- flamer, missile launcher
- rhino

Dreadnought: 105 (3 units)

Predator: 85 (2 units)
- side heavy bolters

This will give you lots of anti armor, and force your opponents to split between you and the raiders.

It seems sound though you won't be forcing them to split anything.

s8+ ---> Preds/Dreds
S4 - s8 ---> Raiders.

Things that can't hurt the preds or dreds is just gonna destroy the A10 raiders.

Why rhinos on the 10 mans? :S Seems kind of wasteful unless i'm missing something.

rhinos to get the 5 guys with flamer around if you combat squad or extra protection in kill points for the entire squad to shoot the missile from.

causing the higher strength anti-armor weapons to fire at the dreads / predators will keep fire off the lighter skimmers, while they can use mid strength weapons on the skimmers odds are lowers so it is still useful.

Land speeders are fast, but not quite necessary in a raider-spam DE list. Also, I don't like the razorbacks as that will force you to move at only 6"/turn...way too slow to be of any support. It'll basically be the DE army against both opponents 2-on-1.

The best complement here IMO would be drop pods (if you have any). I would go like this:

HQ
librarian
flamer power, and gate

troops
10 tacts melta gun ml pw rhino
5 tacts drop pod (onto objectives)

elties
2 mm dreads w/HF (drop these 2 first)
2 drop pods

heavy
3 ac hb preds

5 tacts drop pod (onto objectives)

This squad would be an illegal configuration, as it states on p. 134 of the Space Marine Codex under Dedicated Transport "If the squad numbers ten models, may take a drop pod" It probrably wouldn't matter in a friendly game if you ran it by your opponent first, but we are helping to make a respectable tournament list.

Oops, my bad. Ok, go like this then:

10 tacts melta gun ml pw drop pod
5 tacts rhino

or better yet:

10 tacts melta gun ml pw drop pod
5 scouts - camo, ML, snipers
25pts leftover

I agree with JY2

HQ
whatever for 110pts

Troops [335pts]
10x Tactical - Meltagun, ml, pf, DropPod
5x Scouts - ML, camo cloaks

Elties [300pts]
2x DreadNought - MM/HF, DropPod

Heavy [255pts]
3x Predator Destructurs - HB Sponsors

Infiltrate the scouts onto an objective in cover
Drop the 2x dreadnaoughts first to either pop tanks or tie up dangerous infantry
Drop the tacticals onto an objective or to support your friends assault depending.
Trundle the predators towards the enemy line.

I would prefer vidinicators in there but couldn't find the points.
