Warped314 September 18th, 2004, 16:36 A good reason to get BF1942, yaaay. Korias September 19th, 2004, 08:30 Good luck getting it done! There was a 40k mod that was finally put into beta testing for Half-Life, and I downloaded it, but it was rather...lacking. Kinda like Firewarrior, only the gameplay was slightly better, but not a lot. I hope yours comes out better! :D mojo jojo September 19th, 2004, 12:52 please finish it fast ! we need a good and fast 40k fps , not like the slow and awkward fire warrior , whats the estimated time for completion ? Asdrubal Vect September 20th, 2004, 00:42 i hope it won't take a while to download Colonel_Kraken September 20th, 2004, 13:17 It will take a while, try imagening bf1942 with cruisers, vultures, thunderhawks, pylons, monoliths, thunderbolts, etc.
I looooooove the leman russ movie.
The only question I have is, why necrons? Wouldn't say, chaos, be a LOT easier. (as it is basically marines in different colours) Odd_Bloke September 20th, 2004, 18:31 If you read the guestbook on the site, they have already had this discussion and they came out with, IIRC, two reasons not too:
1) They are too similar to Marines to make the game particularly interesting.
2) Imagine a computer trying to draw all the tiny little skulls on all of the Space Marines. Now imagine that load doubled and doubled again, because CSM have twice as much incidental detail. It would slow the game down too much.
