Jonesey_Dude October 19th, 2004, 21:08 the info ive gathered off people about the campaign is that the controversial new leader of the seer council will get the other craftworlds and ulthwe to unleash a campaign of revenge on the eldars enemys and the campaign has something to do with eldrad not being eaten my slaneesh in the talisman of vaul Apotheosis October 19th, 2004, 22:37 If true, all I care about is how DE are going to fit in. We haven't had a campaign for Eldar since "Fall of the Eldar", and that was an old Rogue Trader board game. Bloodlust October 20th, 2004, 17:40 I've heard that the next major campaign will be a tau one. But I hope it will be an Eldar one. But I hope it will be an Eldar one. 234008 Actually I think they are taking a break next summer and are not having any major campaigns. Nebulas October 21st, 2004, 21:19 the controversial new leader of the seer council will get the other craftworlds and ulthwe to unleash a campaign of revenge on the eldars enemys There are too few Eldar left in the galaxy for this to be feasible, and anyway, do Ulthwe not alter the future to protect themselves, rather than launch an all out war. (Armageddon, for example.) Jonesey_Dude October 22nd, 2004, 23:07 well it would be nice for the eldar to get themselfs some systems together to form some sorta empire when will hive fleet kraken be hittin the tau empire coz ive been waitin a while to dig up my old tyranids to get rid of those tau TzarNikolai October 23rd, 2004, 14:00 well, if there is such a campaign, it gives gw the perfect excuse to release a harlequin codex: aren't they (and the exodites) supposed to be involved in the rebirth of the eldar? of course this campaign can't happen because this doesn't leave a lot of room for any imperial forces, especially space marines. can you imagine a campaign without space marines as the main focus? neither can i... i thought the next campaign would be necrons on mars. after all, who wants the eldar to be reborn? :glare: Nebulas October 23rd, 2004, 15:10 well, if there is such a campaign, it gives gw the perfect excuse to release a harlequin codex: aren't they (and the exodites) supposed to be involved in the rebirth of the eldar? I thought the Crone worlds and the Harlequins were to do with the Rhana Dandra, which would be the final battle against Chaos. Inquisitor_Tocamada October 23rd, 2004, 16:06 i could certainly see an eldar campaign involving the tau heavily, since arn't they 'fond' of the tau in some way. Besides they left the Eldrad thing wide open, he's not dead yet. Nebulas October 23rd, 2004, 18:03 Besides they left the Eldrad thing wide open, he's not dead yet. He is dead. In the new rulebook, it has a picture of him, and underneath it says: Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, late of Craftworld Ulthwe. Arklite October 23rd, 2004, 19:08 He is dead. In the new rulebook, it has a picture of him, and underneath it says: Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, late of Craftworld Ulthwe unless GW is planning a VERY VERY cheesy come back with him becoming some king of super psycic wraith lord of cheesy doom :hmm: Jonesey_Dude October 23rd, 2004, 21:44 heres an idea for a cheesy trailerfor the rise of the eldar you thought his soul was eaten by slaneesh...... you were wrong..... Space Marine : We cant hold the line! OMG aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh Commander: Come in space marine whats going on out there! Eldar voice: Whoever can hear this........this is the eldar, we WILL get our empire back! Meanwhile on Imperial Cruiser Ensign: Sir! eldar ships appearing to the starboard....there firing! BANG! Captain: uuuummmm....wheres our ship gone! On the planet tau Tau Citizen: Look at that bright like in the sky! Other citizen: Thats No Light its an eldar torpedo! I think you get the idea :shifty: Nebulas October 23rd, 2004, 22:08 unless GW is planning a VERY VERY cheesy come back with him becoming some king of super psycic wraith lord of cheesy doom He can't be installed into a Wraithlord, that process requires a Spirit Stone, unless they can use Waystones. :shifty: Arklite October 23rd, 2004, 23:48 that was pretty much what i ment it would just be uber cheesy and down right wrong but on topic the eldar aint coming back they are going to eventully follow the squats ( not game wise but in the far far distant future fluff wise eg. the eldar are dieing out but there still are a few of them left) Nebulas October 24th, 2004, 15:01 but on topic the eldar aint coming back they are going to eventully follow the squats ( not game wise but in the far far distant future fluff wise eg. the eldar are dieing out but there still are a few of them left) Hmm... not necissarily true, looking at the Phoenix Lord Feugan's 'description': "It is said that he will call together the Phoenix Lords for the Rhana Dandra, and that he will be the last to die in that final conflict." Whether that means he will be the last Eldar, or the last person, to die is a mystery to me. (When I use 'person' I mean any other race other than Eldar.) Jonesey_Dude October 24th, 2004, 21:37 i hope they dont get rid of the eldar there a popular army and people will be peeved if they got phased out bandodan October 25th, 2004, 15:49 He is dead. In the new rulebook, it has a picture of him, and underneath it says: Farseer Eldrad Ulthran, late of Craftworld Ulthwe. Actually, I'm under the impression that his soul is only trapped in eternal torment in the Blackstone fortress (re-read the WD Eye of Terror results again... No talk of dead, only pain and suffering...) Although I too admit that an Eldrad comeback would be cheesy, if done correctly it could be kinda cool. They are saying he's "late of Ulthwe" because he isn't ON Ulthwe anymore. It doesn't mean he's dead... after all, who wants the eldar to be reborn? Actually, I do, and anyone else worth their spirit stone (or plays Eldar...) |
