lately ive heard many a rumour that GW are working on a rise of the eldar campaign, is this true and if so when will it happen so i can get more eldar lol

Well the next "historical campaign" they are making is the Rise of Sotek that deals with Skaven and Lizardmen.

the info ive gathered off people about the campaign is that the controversial new leader of the seer council will get the other craftworlds and ulthwe to unleash a campaign of revenge on the eldars enemys and the campaign has something to do with eldrad not being eaten my slaneesh in the talisman of vaul

If true, all I care about is how DE are going to fit in.

I don't know, if this has any substance the title sounds like a historical campaign, no?

It certainly would be nice to have a campaign that emphasizes the Eldar, instead of using them as a sidebar... We haven't had a campaign for Eldar since "Fall of the Eldar", and that was an old Rogue Trader board game.

I've heard that the next major campaign will be a tau one. But I hope it will be an Eldar one.

Actually I think they are taking a break next summer and are not having any major campaigns.

There are too few Eldar left in the galaxy for this to be feasible, and anyway, do Ulthwe not alter the future to protect themselves, rather than launch an all out war. (Armageddon, for example.) :huh:

well it would be nice for the eldar to get themselfs some systems together to form some sorta empire

of course this campaign can't happen because this doesn't leave a lot of room for any imperial forces, especially space marines. can you imagine a campaign without space marines as the main focus? neither can i...

I thought the Crone worlds and the Harlequins were to do with the Rhana Dandra, which would be the final battle against Chaos.

i could certainly see an eldar campaign involving the tau heavily, since arn't they 'fond' of the tau in some way.

He can't be installed into a Wraithlord, that process requires a Spirit Stone, unless they can use Waystones. :shifty:

that was pretty much what i ment it would just be uber cheesy and down right wrong

but on topic the eldar aint coming back they are going to eventully follow the squats ( not game wise but in the far far distant future fluff wise eg. the eldar are dieing out but there still are a few of them left)

Hmm... not necissarily true, looking at the Phoenix Lord Feugan's 'description':
"It is said that he will call together the Phoenix Lords for the Rhana Dandra, and that he will be the last to die in that final conflict."

Whether that means he will be the last Eldar, or the last person, to die is a mystery to me. (When I use 'person' I mean any other race other than Eldar.)

Actually, I'm under the impression that his soul is only trapped in eternal torment in the Blackstone fortress (re-read the WD Eye of Terror results again... No talk of dead, only pain and suffering...) Although I too admit that an Eldrad comeback would be cheesy, if done correctly it could be kinda cool. They are saying he's "late of Ulthwe" because he isn't ON Ulthwe anymore. It doesn't mean he's dead...

after all, who wants the eldar to be reborn?
