Howdy all

Right heres my quarrel!!

Everytime i come here the site has changed i agree with
the fact that the admin & mods may want it to look better
& i have no probs with the change what so ever!!
in fact i quite like it!! :D

But in my eyes whoever is dealing with the galleries wants
shot!! reason being you cant do bugger all on em!!
everytime i go to add pics it wont let me, brings up some
stupid message or pop up, either that or something is disabled
& ya cant click on it!! its a joke!! :realmad:

Seems a pity because its such a good site!! ;)

hope no ones offended by what ive said but its the truth!!
if anyone else has this prob or any other please post away!!

The only reason I could see that someone would be offended is because your post is outright offensive. All you do in it is whine and complain. Its filled with accusations, insults, and profanity (as much as the site will allow). I can't imagine why anyone would feel this is a personal attack on them. Or consider your approach to be nothing more than an attempt to flame them.

Why don't you try posting something with respect. No need to change your opinion or position. You could be completely right about what you say, but no one is going to listen to you since you come off like a complete idiot with no ability to express any ideas you might have. It sounds like you have little or no education. Didn't you ever learn how to express an opinion and support it with facts? Do you think you could stand up in a public forum, talk like that, and expect anyone to take you seriously?

Perhaps next time you might want to post something useful. How about some ideas on how to fix the problems? What exactly are the problems you are experiencing? Do you have any suggestions on how to fix them?

Perhaps a useful critique can be found under your haze of...what? Anger?
Why in the world would you get so upset by someone else's actions on a forum? About some models and silly game? They don't reflect on you. If they are incompetent, as you seem to think, that's on them not you. Its just a gallery of pictures, not a personal assault on you.

If you post like an adult you might actual change the situation that is causing you grief. As it is, you'll be lucky if a MOD doesn't suspend your privileges for a while to let you think about it. I'm for giving you a chance to redeem yourself and wipe some of the embarrassment off your face. I think there's probably some good ideas in your head. Why not practice expressing them in a way that may prove useful to you later in life.

uh? I think he's just saying the galleries need a more simplified interface for people to use. You could just edit the topic if it looks that offensive...

If he had said "The galleries need a simplified interface." I would gladly work with him and the site owners to work out a good idea and implement it.

Instead the topic starts off with; "Galleries sux" "F**K" Then it goes right into "...whoever is dealing with the galleries wants shot!! " and "its a joke!! "

There isn't one useful idea in the whole post. Nothing about what specifically he found difficult or non-functional. No suggestions on what he would like to see in Librarium Online Galleries.

He obviously thought it would offend since he wraps up the post with "hope no ones offended by what ive said "

If you truly hope no one is offended, then post with consideration for the other people who share this forum with you. It's called respect. You want some? Then give some out.

As far as me editing his post, he's free to post as he likes...and live with the consequences. If it stepped too far out of allowable boundries it would be closed or deleted. At first I considered locking the thread without comment. As it is, I'm hoping a few people will take to heart what I'm saying, and keep L.O. a good place to visit and post.

Ouch, WolfRaider just BURNED you man. But he is right. You should have brought this across in a respectable and mature manner. Things get done quicker when you act like an adult

This could've been an interesting thing to talk about, but the delivery...was not very acceptable. Calm down and try again. :D

The really sad part is that this isn't even in the right forum.Shouldn't this be in that site bugs and issues part way down at the bottom?

Well, everyone has said that he expressed himself in the wrong way so I won't bother repeating it... But I did have troubles with the gallery when I tried to use it.

The interface is a bit strange and when I tried uploading pictures to it I got an error message or one saying I did not have access. This was after I had created an account for the gallery and signed on.

Treat this how you like though, its obvious other people have gotten pictures into the gallery so it isn't faulty, just something wrong with a few people, and there are other places on the net to put photos on.

Well maybe if you chaps here at L.O. pulled your (Y) THUMBS (Y)
out of your asses & fixed these problems instead off back lashing
when someone complains no one would have need to complain
in the first place!!

As for Wolfraiders comment about me having little or no education
well all i can say to that Wolfraider is that it certainly shows your
level of intelligence!! i'm an Oxford grad student mate what are you??

I apolagise for my comments about the galleries & whoever running
them needs shot!! maybe i did say that out of haste!! :glare:

However i do think they should have someone here who knows what
there doing instead of someone who clearly doesnt!!

As for my suggestions on fixing the problem you could try going back
to the old settings where in actual fact there didnt seem to be any
problems!! :)

I have a problem as well with the gallery, when I try to submit it, I get some message saying that i should enter my email adresse because I forgot my password or something.

here are some easy instruction on how to use the gallery and submit pictures.

1. You dont have to register anymore, just use your normal account you got when y ou signed up on our forum.

2. When uploading, choose your picture, give it a name and some keywords if you like and then click the submit button at the bottom. You dont need to add a thumbnail, they are auto generated.
Max image size is 1024x768 and 1000kb (1.0mb)

3. Do not re-upload because you cant see your picture. A gallery moderator have to validate all incoming pictures before they are published. This is to decrease the amount of bad pictures stored on our servers. Currently I'm the only moderator in the gallery so it may take some time before your picture will appear.
