i've heard many things about the next army. sometimes i hear eldar are next (i believe this one since the waveserpent kind of hints it). i have also heard tyranids are next, followed by either ork or eldar. i have also heard that it is going to be 'nids, then orks, then eldar. i have also heard eldar, 'nids, then orks. dang it which one is correct???

I think its nids next due to the fact that they are now in the starter box and that theya re now in playtesting according to GWHQ when I was there last weekend, whereas no one else (except marines) have got that far.

I think and hope Eldar are next, because of the Wave serpant and on the new rulebook the warlock had a psychic cat... a familiar? Anyway, the Eldar codex (new one) is coming out i think next year...

Out of interest, anyone know anything about alien hunters? it could be them.

That's my predicition (and hopes). Are they redoing the whole nid range of models?

teh other faction have eitehr gotten a printed late enough to be all upto date ( relitive term) or have came out wiht a second edtion of it fomr the great repirnts of chaos and imperial to teh crappy same codex of teh darkeldar wiht a lousy secioned edition stamp on it?? (what gives?)

I don't know which but I think it's time chaos get a add-on codex for like possesed races but that is very unlikely it'll probably be nids being that they have no add-on codex and not an expanded one either

I think its facinateing that people don't read the whole topics before posting.

well, i guess i still don't really know... (since i have heard different things once more), but i still hope it is eldar (even though i doubt it) and i wish GW would just say what they are working on next on their website, or are they waiting to tell us on purpose, just to make us mad?

Andy Hoare, Pete Haines and Graham McNeill have in fact stated at GD seminars that the Tyranids are next- they should be out around May/June, so concepts and such will most likely be at the next Games Day out there with the 6-month window thing.

In addition, it was pretty much confirmed at GD Australia that Black Templars are coming after Tyranids despite the fact that they're in the early concept phase for Eldar. As an aside the Wood Elves project had a 96-week development schedule and are they due out in Summer- that's just to show how long in general an army book project takes. Now, a Space Marine sub-codex takes about a third of that, so it doesn't take as much resources away from the big hitter codex due out later on- it's likely that it'll run Codex-Subcodex-Codex-Subcodex (Alienhunters counting as a subcodex because of the work already done with things like Stormtroopers and such- there MAY be genestealer cult rules in it..)

Then again, the Black Templars are the army out there with the most 'get stuff for free' so they really need a toning down. Or a nerfing, as players of the army seem to call it...

Eldar and Dark Eldar will not be a single book as had been sughgested, mind. They are concepting both at the same time though, so it's easy to correlate between them.
