OK, i was talking to a GW guy in store a few days ago, and we were talking about Games Day. I said it was great, but the porblem was that the new Termies were coming out too far away. He said yeah, you should have seen the staff only stuff, like the new nids. He wouldnt say anything more.

Does anyone else know anything about this? Photos, gossip?

Where do you hear that? I has gone to the sapanish games day and i have seen the new SM models, so i don´t think that GW waits unitl spring for selling the new models, IMO <_<

Actually, they do. It's what's known as the six month window, they'll show anything due out over the next six months at a Games Day.

It's actually rather easy to pinpoint release dates using them since the number of games Days means that they'll on average be three to four weeks apart in the summer.

so bloody long. how can they do this to us?! the monsters!
but seriously, why are they taking so long, and why aren't they releasing new termies at christmas when they could make money of them?

Because they released codices every three months for the first half of 3rd Edition, and they were abominations. GW now operates off releasing army books every three months, switching between Fantasy and 40K. The one exception in recent years has been Codex EoT, which was basically a mindex anyway.

It allows a decent amount of playtesting and background addition.

Compare the first Chaos codex for 3rd Edition and the current one and you'll see what I'm talking about.

occasionally awful, occasionally great. sometimes things were too good, and th rest was too bad.

i remember obliterators being something like 60points, not being able to move, and only allowed two have one kind of any weapon in a list that sucked for example.

there was also that huge deal about juggers of khorne in units of 10, or something ridiculous.

Darn GW, I want to see what we'll be getting. Hopefully after christmas they'll show us some pictures of what they will look like.

Besides, a norn queen will never get miniaturized, as She really isn't combat capable. It's like the ant queen, she can't even defend herself, she's got drones and soldiers for that. She just lays eggs/hatches nids... Or so I would seem to think anyways..
