There ain't gonna be no Mars Campaign. It's the biggest piece of unfounded wishful thinking since the Mirror reported Manchester United were going to sign Alan Shearer in 1995.

Indeed, no mars campaign. As all races wouldn't be included. Sure SM, IG and Inq's forces could fight, but.. no. Necrons could reach it because the allready done so in the fluff. Though they got blow of the surfece really quickly

CSM: At the heart of the Imperium? Don't think so :rolleyes:

Tau: To far away, though could still be expanding.

Eldar, Dark Eldar, Orks: See CSM.

Nids: They still got a long way to come that close.

mars would be critical should any race take it. orks and CSM are the closest to this goal(in my opinion)but should they overrun armageddon and move on to mars, they would find annilation waiting for them.

I think there culd be a campaign like this, but more like a Necron fleet moving from some where in the galaxy where all the races can fight towards Mars. That would allow them all to play and be to do wit teh Mars campaign, I know its not really that close, but its the best way I can think of it ever happening. Unless they do what I just said AND have Necrons vs Imperium on Mars its self, so if there is a map like in the EoT campaign, but there would just be 2 of them, one for Necrons and Imperium (Mars), the other for just every one (some where else).

Although I think some thing like that making that bigger change to the fluff happening from the Games Workshop very unlikly, but then I thought that about Chaos winning EoT as well o.O.

Why would an enemy of the Imperium attack Mars instead of Terra? Same system... why even bother with Mars, save it for after the Emperor is destroyed. There is no possibility of this campaign happening unless GW really has lost all the marbles its ever had.

If ive read the fluff correctly, there trying to unlock the dragon c'tan.

Maybe it could happen (not happening in my opinion) but only as a Games Day/ warhammer world event. Don't get me wrong, of all the campaigns i've ever played i always see a crappy result... even if it happens, Necrons will never take Mars because it's too crucial for SM fluff, with Adaptus Mechanicus and all that. For the same reason, Chaos would never be allowed to crush the imperium in EoT because if they took Cadia a lot of IG players would be stuffed...

BTW, Eldar might be able to join in... you never know where those craftwords are! (assuming they didn't know the location of Terra)

the eldar dont know the location of terra? anyways, the necrons definantly have the best chance of taking mars. though i dont think mars will be taken, or that that will even be the point of the campaign. the deciever is trying to awake the dragon, and it will cause a mechanicus civil war cuz the dragon is like a mini machine god himself, and has decieved alot of adepts into thinking hes the best. i think the point will be the necrons trying to escape mars with the dragon, a feat in itself, and do some damage.
