are telling all children inside their shops that it is in fact true that the dark eldar are being discontinued.

they are being discontinued and are to be removed from shop and online sale very soon (spring-summer)

so any dark eldar players............. by your dark eldar army that you have always wanted before you regret it.

That truly sucks! I was counting on them being my army of the future..although distant future 'cause I'm broke! Hehehe.

That is indeed news to me, as I was in a GW store yesterday (in the UK) with my dark eldar and the conversation didn't bring up anything about discontinuing them.

that truely sucks sand thats wierd because it seemed tha online on here that alot of people really liked them, oddly but it just makes it all the more likley that they'll take my idea more seriously. :wacko:

No offense, but I won't believe it untill I see something official from GW. Most f the time rumours from within the ranks of GW are just as unreliable as rumours circulated by players.

I highly doubt this, as the whole 'DE, discontinued' thing has been debunked on the official GW forums. Repeatedly. And of course there's also the fact that any GW staff members outside the big ones (Andy, Steve, etc.) are not trustworthy at all with regards to the future of the game.

No one from the Studio has ever said that we don't care about Dark Eldar. We have a couple of people here who would give their right arm to be able to take the project and turn it into one of the most attractive options in 40k. However, we have a schedule of products we need and want to work on, and Dark Eldar are in there somewhere. The fact is that at present we can't tell you what are plans are for them, simply because we aren't actually sure - we aren't working on them yet.

Dark Eldar *will* get a nice, shiny new book and models at some point in the future. What and when precisely that will be, I cannot say. Nor can anyone just yet.

I just received an email from GW USA where they confirmed that Dark Eldars is not being discontinued.
