NOW as you all should know the Steel Legion models have become a now special order models, but this might be a good thing, as a result GW is, in the future, is going to have them in plastic model kits. Now this might be difficult seeing that there is a lot to consider when it comes to modeling plastic kits. Plastic kits as meant to be more poseable when it comes to modeling, such as the gas hose in the mask, the trench coast and other stuff, BUT THIS IS STILL A RUMOR.

After spending $200 on my pewter Steel Legion platoons, I'll be kinda mad if they do this. I do agree that the models don't lend themselves well to modularity.

any ideas when these plastic models might come around? cuz i wanted to play Death Korps of Krieg, but it would cost an insane amount of money now that they are classic models :hmm:

if they do make em plastic, then that would be so sweet ^_^

My only hope is that it comes in the form of the fabeled "long-coat" sprue which can be adapted to make Valhallans or Steel Legion, or any thing similar.

*if* this rumor is true... i doubt they would be out before 2006...

I actually went down to one of the local gaming stores this weekend and the guy working there was saying how GW wants to have no more metal models except for special characters...he said that by the end of next year they hope to have all but some special characters made out of plastic...i dont know if this is true. Has anyone else heard anything like this?

I don't think the individual minis will become more expensive just because they are only available as Classics...

I play Death Korps and I don't intend to stop just because they have been taken off the shelves... ;)

Moving to Rumors section due to the topic being entitled "Rumor."

If this new plastic trend is true and all the new models will in fact be plastic, is that to say that I can see plastic Tanith models somewhere in the future?
