I was talking to the shopkeeper of Truro Games Workshop and he told me of the next few campaigns. For the next two years there will be 3 campaigns for each game system each year.

Then will come the campaign to end all campaigns. A Hrud seer forsees the end of the universe and using some kind of time warp thing [this explains the skaven and why the have futuristic tech] try to re write fate. It is forseen that Chaos and the Imperium will wipe each other out when the Gods awake at the end of time [all Gods, C'Tan, Emperor, Gork and Mork, Chaos Gods etc]. He didn't say much else apart from it wont happed for 3 or so years.

just a little word of advice, never ever listen or believe that which a redshirt tells ya.

It's well known that GW will never change the 40k universe so drastically. they don't want to destroy their fanbase that way. they may get a hrud army in by then, there may be a campaign about them, but it will not be on that kind of apocalyptic scale.

He said the snag would be in the Hrud's time travel technology, so they couldn't end the universe.

Indeed that is very unrealistic.
But here is another that sounds... reasonable:

A campaign on the Eastern Fringe around Ultramar Space.
Some points could back this up with the new Space Marine codex with those nasty honour guards and Veteran nid hunters.

The Comming of the New Nid Codex and Nids are close to the Ultramarines. (;))
Also rumours of the Ork Codex and they are also near the Ultramar Space.
Tau would be able to fight their as they are nearby.

Eldar, Chaos (All Legions), Dark Eldar and Necrons can come for their own reasons. (Chaos dislikeing the Imperium... duh! Eldar's invisible objectives, Dark Eldar: For the Raid! Necrons.. spread havoc and killing the living!)
The Imperium (plus Order Xeno, Hereticus, Malleus) is allready there

Now doesn't that sound more "real"? Not to radical but possible.

Considering in Games terms they would never involve skaven in the 40K universe, this is kind of dubious.

once again just to remind you there will never be a campiagn to end all campaigns the biggest thing GW will ever do will be some thing like abbadon dies :o but is replaced by a clone made by fabious bile

I was hoping abbadon was gonna die at the end of EoT, seeing as I thought that was the whole point of the 13th Company... ah well.

I think whoever said about the possibility of an ultramar nid campign is probably closest to the mark

Sometimes I wonder if GW doesnt let bad information trickle down into it's lower ranking parts to keep us guessing. Everytime GW pisses we pounce on it and declare "This is what's happening next!"

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised. Heck, that's what I'd do.

I think it would have been cool to have Abbadon die at the end of EoT in some epic duel between him and the newly-found Leman Russ.

I dont think the 40k verce will change that much but i do believe that the next campaine will concern nids for the reason the the new alien hunters are being released,all the nid stuff that is in the new ulramarine codex and with the new nid dex coming out soon alos in the new rule book it shows how close they are to ultramarine space so i think the next campaine will be the 2nd nid assault on macrage.

well thats sound about right for the 40k universe.

also in WD they say the next campain will be in lustia between lizardman and others.

yeah thats why the new lziardmen clans have come out.

Next years 40K campaign will be around ultramar to go with the new 'nid book, but they will ahve a fantasy and LotR campaign too.

Now... the next 40k campaign are not decided and I actualy came up with the Ultramar campaign thing as I had it posted up on another famous 40k board.
But that is only theories and speculation and has no truth in them.

BUT they are possible. ;)

Even though their is nothing confirmed it seems very likely that the next campaign will be focussed around the Nid's

umm, the reason the skaven have 'futuristic tech' is because they use the warpstone to power their weapons.

Thats the biggest load of crap i have ever heard. Ive been hearing around the store I go to that no new global Campaigns will take place for a few years cept for rise of sotek.

Why don't they ever have a back in time campaign, like the sabbat worlds crusade, that would be really cool, but I think they'll do a 'nids campaign as well, it ties into the releases of new products and such. Plus it would be really cool but I'm curious as to how they'd tie in all the other races, like chaos and necron etc.

Hell, in my store it isn't safe to listen to the blackshirt.
