Would it be possible to use say a unit of Empire Spearmen and say you were fighting on a Feudal World, what kinds of rules could you use for doing so?

you'd probably have them represent mutants in a latd army or conscripts for imperial guard with warrior weapons.

3rd edition fantasy and 1st edition 40k could do it. The rule sets have been getting more and more different since. (fantasy is still reasonably close to 1st ed 40k)

I guess some WHFB models could be proxied as 40k models but for them to fight side by side using real fantasy rules would be impractical.

i actualy think youd have to edit all the rules for either fantasy or sci-fi, since demons are more powerfull in fantasy then sci-fi, you should maybe base everything on how much weaker the demons got in sci-fi..

I use some fantsey for my chaos cultists/mutants.

That is a very good idea as they (Mutants) fights with "sticks, rusy knifes" etc. :D

you could use the empire men, and say they are feudal primitive warriors helping/hindering your conquest of a planet. They would most likely have imperial guardsmans stats, and if they have big two handed pikes you could say they have 1+ strength. If they have bows you could say they they have a 36" range strength 3 AP 6 Assault 1 weapon. Little rules like these can make for a great game. Of course im just giving you examples, the actual rules (if you were to do this) would be entirely up to you.

but playing WFB rules alongside 40K rules wouldn't work...because you'd have to change them, and thus they aren't WFB rules anymore. Best to just use WFB models with rules (movement, stats, assault, moral, etc) from 40K
