And yes there has been several great entrants in the Chapter master competion.
But I got to say that John Thompsons "Storm Ghosts" are my favourites so far.

Yep 2nd and 3rd are my favorites so far (which i guess explains why they are second and first), the Storm Ghosts and The Sons of Thor. The Heralds of Terra are really well painted but the scheme seems a bit random to me, no real theme.

The paint job on the silver sharks blows my mind. That's just a COOL paint job.

I think that the sons of Thor colour scheme is fantastic because of the converting and on each of the marines heads there's very fine runic symbols and also Thor looks great

The Sons of Thor should have won.They look much better then the first place army IMO.

jeez, that angel gaurd copmmander is awsome. a bit over the top, kinda looks like a sanginius wannabe in different colors..

Other than the Sons of Thor, I liked The Unsung Heroes and I really liked the Fists of the Damned.

I'm with Demented Potato (Potatoe?) on this one...Sons of Thor and Unsung Heroes are the pick of the litter.

May get a slap from the mods for this, but just thought I'd unnecessarily point out that the top 3 are all members of the Bolter & Chainsword... :rolleyes:

I love the Silver Sharks personally. Apart from the Burst cannon they look awesome, small conversions but add a more space age feel to the gothic Space Marines.

I also agree that Sons of Thor should have won. The work done to give them those amazing cloaks is enough for 1st place for me.

The singular is Potato, the plural form is Potatoes. I really liked the Unsung Heroes because of their interesting fluff, that really sealed the deal for me.

Come to think of it, all the fluff for those armies was very interesting, That made the models even cooler.

Yea the sons of thor were good and it had the barbarian feel, but my personal favorite was the Fists of the Damned. I think the paint job and overall look of the models were the best.

Does anyone know what that weird blue color is used in the Unsung Heroes?
