K, i think this goes here.

I was looking in the Armageddon Codex, and in the back theres a list of those stationed on armageddon.

They are listed in Regiments, legions and batallions and such, and i was wondering what the exact sizes are for those descriptions (legion, regiment etc.)

Any help appreciated.

Well, the sizes of those can vary, but IIRC a Legion is made of multiple Regiments, and a Regiment will contain multiple Batallions.

That should help put them in some sort of perspective

Well IIRC the only ones that still uses legions are the Titan Legions, also IIRC a full titan legion is 12 titans (Well, do not sound so great in numbers, but the destruction they cause....)

As for the regiment, it's really hard to set an exact number as it differs alot in the numbers of soldiers in a company. But, if they follow the example in the old codex the maximum of troops would be 2425 + tank support in a regiment, though it's probably even larger because of the number of desk workers a full regiment would need.

Brigades are Storm Troopers only IIRC and I don't know an exact number for them.

This is how it works:

Legions-Regiments-Batallions-Companies-Platoons-Squads

So simple is that.

Imperial guard regements have about 6000 fighting troops I think, but I'm most likely wrong.

Theoretically each infantry regiment should have around 1,000 men. made up of three batallions of around 300 men, each made up of three companies of 100 men.

The Guard Codex states that a regiment can be anything from thousands to tens of thousands of men strong, it all depends on the total population of the world they came from.

Though in the old guard codex you can see how One Regiment is build up:

One Regiment
Regiment HQ:
-5 Companies:
One Company:
--Command HQ (Followed by heavy weapon squads=
---6 Platoons:
----Command Sections:
-----6 Infantry Squads.

IF we would follow the rules each regiment would have 1850 guardsmen, and of course variations in numbers depending on vehicles, heavy weapons and such.

I hasten to add that simply because only Stormtroopers are referred to as being grouped in a particular type of grouping (ie. Brigades) does not necessarily mean that only they are in brigades. That really doesn't fit with the paperwork-obsessed IG hierarchy, who would want nice little pigeonholes to fit all of their troops in, and sod efficiency on the ground.
